Oh, what a sweet little boy! I had so much fun with this wonderful family on Friday as we welcomed sweet Matthew in his first official portrait session! What a little hunk of love! And, all that hair? Swoon! He really was determined that he was NOT going to go to sleep and miss out on the big party. haha! But, finally, he tuckered out and we were able to take advantage of the beautiful spring temperatures and do some shoots outdoors. Outdoor newborn photos are my favorite. So beautiful! Matthew is going to be a series regular on the blog over the next year. Cannot wait to see him grow! Congratulations, Kate and Matt! So happy for your wonderful family! 🙂

March 19, 2014I’m starting to believe it, are you? Spring is coming!! It is finally starting to warm-up up outside and the sun, which it seems we haven’t seen in weeks, is shining brightly! It’s a beautiful day in Memphis, TN! I’m dreaming of warmer nights grilling out, fresh fruits and veggies from the farmer’s markets, colorful flowers, and soft, green grass beneath my feet. Ahhh….
It’s time again to announce 1:17 Photography’s yearly tradition and customer favorite… Mini Sessions!
How is a Mini Session different from a regular session? Well, it lasts about 15 minutes and you receive approximately 10-15 fully edited custom images. You’d be amazed at what I am able to accomplish in just 15 minutes! It’s quick, painless, and it’s over before the kids(or uncooperative Dads!) know it’s even started!
These sessions are perfect for those that don’t want a full session, have a person in your family who just likes things done quick and efficiently, someone who needs gifts for the grandparents for Mother’s or Father’s Day, or just wants a few quick , simple, and lovely portraits of their favorite kiddo! And again this year, we are going digital! No shopping carts, no hard decisions to pick your favorites! You’ll just get them all on a disc and can use them to your liking. PLUS, if you prefer to print with my professional labs, you will receive 20% off any print or canvas item you purchase through 1:17 Photography from your Spring Mini Session.

Due to the great feedback we received from last year’s Mini Sessions, we will once again offer a couple of different dates each at a different location!
The first location, planned for March 27th, will take place in a local field that has wild grasses growing. Take a look at a few blog posts from some sessions that took place in these fields. I just LOVE the soft, simplistic feel that these photographs have-plus they are a decorator’s dream as their neutral colors will work great in any room. Love these photos in both color and black/white!

The 2nd location is our very own Downtown Memphis! I adore shooting at this location. So many options and fun color, too! You will LOVE your session downtown! I guarantee it!
