Mr.Jeremiah! Love this little cutie pie! I can hardly believe how quickly he is growing up. Seems like just yesterday he was looking like this:And, now he is sitting like a champ, smiling his adorable little charming smile, and most definitely has his Mommy and Daddy wrapped around his cute little fingers! πŸ™‚ But, who can blame them when they get to see this little face every day? How could you not fall in love? Jeremiah did so good at his session and I was so proud of him. It was past his bedtime, the temps were beyond what any reasonable person should have to sit through and still look “fresh”, and he’d been not feeling so hot days before. However, he was a little rock star and showed up big time for his big moment. I am so very happy with our results and still so happy for Jon and Miranda! Love you guys! Enjoy your sneak peek! πŸ™‚

Love the innocent look of this one!Check out this baby’s eyelashes! Why is it that the boys always have these amazing lashes?

Cutie Jeffrey!

June 9, 2011

Y’all are gonna love this little cutie! Meet 2-yr-old Jeffrey! This little guy just stole my heart with his big blue eyes, and sweaty blonde hair and red cheeks. He is just CUTE! He had a great time playing in Arlington the other night and was such a little trooper in temps that were less than ideal for a photo session. He loves his tractor! He loves his cowboy boots! And, he loved me telling him not to smile. πŸ™‚ Proof that I am funny…at least to some…as he couldn’t stop laughing at me every time I said it. Thanks for letting capture your little man and I hope you enjoy your sneak peek! πŸ™‚

Anticipation…

June 9, 2011

Meet Eric and JenaBeth! They are about to become parents for the first time in just a few weeks! Such an exciting time full of anticipation and joy! And, to make it even more exciting, no one knows the gender of the little one in JenaBeth’s belly nor have they told anyone their name choices yet. I love it! I will have the joy of photographing this little one’s newborn photos soon and cannot wait to see who he/she is and what his/her name will be. I’m a big fan of surprises! πŸ™‚ But, for now, we get to see how beautiful a pregnant woman can be. JenaBeth was truly “glowing” for this session and her sweet hubby Eric obviously adores her. She was such a trooper to be 8+ months pregnant out in ridiculous heat and did it all with a smile! Thank you, JenaBeth and Eric for allowing me the privilege of capturing this moment in time for you. I know that I am one of many, but I cannot WAIT to meet your little one! πŸ™‚

Welcome, Brooks!

June 9, 2011

Another precious little blonde-haired boy has arrived this summer! Meet Brooks…little brother of my former Little Gifts Newborn Club Member,Cohen and new love of Ashlee and Clark. I have said it before and will say it again. I’m always so honored and humbled to be asked to capture a child in their first days of life. To be welcomed into someone’s home and have the joy of snuggling on sweet little bits of heaven, well, honestly it’s such a joy for me. And, this time, it is with a family who has already been down this road with me once before. I am so blessed! πŸ™‚

Get used to seeing this little guy’s precious face as he will be making a few more appearances here over the next year. Tuesday we spent the afternoon giving him his first moment in the spotlight and capturing some photos similar to big brother’s but also giving him his very own look as well. Brooks was a perfect little angel and never made a sound the entire afternoon. He is so beautiful and I am so happy for this sweet family. Congratulations to you Clark, Ashlee, and Cohen…and…welcome, sweet Brooks!

And, a few with his new family. This first one is my FAVORITE! love, love, love!

I love when life “comes back around”! This week I was honored to photograph the family of one a dear friend from college days. Amy and Troy have three gorgeous daughters…absolutely gorgeous…with beautiful and fun personalities to match! Natalie, the oldest and a dancer, who is just about to start her first year of High School and who obviously is adored by her little sisters. Miss Caroline is the middle child and so sweet and adorable. She also reminds me the most of her mom in looks! πŸ™‚ And, then there is Miss Anna Kate, who is charming and SO funny. Kept me laughing the whole time. Even though it was a truly hot Memphis afternoon, we found a nice shady spot and had a great time together. Amy and Troy, I know you are so very proud of your family. They are beautiful little ladies inside and out! Hope you love what you see here…lots more to come! πŸ™‚

I LOVE this one of the three girls…

And, finally, some of each little beauty!

And, to end our little preview, how cute is this of the two youngest girls in their dress-up clothes? Gotta love it! πŸ™‚

Beautiful Isabella!

June 5, 2011

What a beauty this sweetie is! Meet Miss Isabella (you know I’m lovin’ her name!). Isabella was born in Hawaii (lucky girl!) and her awesome parents are in the Navy. They just recently moved to the Memphis area for the next 5 years and I am so happy to have them join my 1:17 family! Isabella’s Daddy was stationed in Afghanistan a couple of years ago….thank you! And, her beautiful mom is also in the Navy as well. We had the best time on Saturday morning getting to know one another and enjoying Isabella’s beautiful smiles even though it was beyond hot outside! Jamin and Channell, you are blessed with a sweet and beautiful little girl and your family is such a joy! Welcome to Memphis! So glad to have “y’all”! πŸ™‚

Lainey is almost 4!

June 3, 2011

I’ve been photographing this beautiful little girl since she was only a few days old. There are some people who just cannot take a bad photograph…Lainey is one of those lucky people! This little lady is so precious. Full of personality, imagination, smiles, deep thoughts, and to top it off…she gives a GREAT hug! I adore all of these photos and am so happy with the colors of summer that come throughΒ in these photographs. Thank you, Aimee and Russ, for continuing to choose me to capture your little girl year after year. I know you know this…but she is awesome! Enjoy! πŸ™‚

Meghan, John & Nick…

June 3, 2011

My children have been blessed with wonderful teachers. This year, for the first time, both my children’s teachers were young mothers themselves. So, for their Christmas gift, I gave them a photo session for their children. This week, I had the joy of meeting and photographing Isabella’s first grade teacher’s children. Meet Meghan, John and Nick…so adorable. It is so fun to work with “older” children and I am so very happy with the images that we captured the other evening. I had a hard time choosing which ones to blog. I love that these images show the fun that this family obviously has together. Laurie, thank you for being so wonderful to my Isabella this year. I hope that y’all are happy with our results and that you have a FABULOUS summer! πŸ™‚

Just one of my favorites of each of the children…

These last ones are my FAVORITES of the night…and they happen to be in b/w, too! πŸ™‚

Evie and Colt…

June 3, 2011

Oh what fun was this session! I haven’t seen this family in almost 2 years and couldn’t believe how big Mr.Colt was! He is now 4-years-old and has become a big brother to little Miss Evie since then! This family was so much fun and such troopers in the H.O.T. summer heat the other night. I adored that we started out the evening with a more “traditional” look and then transitioned into the kiddos favorite dress-up clothes for some casual and fun photos. The cowboy outfit actually was Colt’s Dad’s when he was a little boy…a true classic and this little man was SO happy to be in his cowboy getup and boots. It was beyond cute. And, little Evie…so serious…but happy! I didn’t mind the lack of smiles because those inquistive BIG blue eyes are just to die for. Jennifer and Collin, you have a beautiful family. Hope you love your sneak peek!

He was yellling “yee-haw” here…haha! love!

Welcome, Meredith!

June 2, 2011

Tuesday was a day full of sweet newborn little girls for me. I had the honor of photographing Miss Meredith as well. She was such a good little girl for her session and allowed us to play to our heart’s content…once we figured out her secret. Her secret is that this girl LOVED being outside. As soon as we stepped outdoors she slept “like a baby”, haha!, and everything was easy after that. The firstborn in her home, she is going to be so very loved by her precious Mom and Daddy! Just look how sweet her room is that they fixed up for her before she even arrived:
See…they’re in love with this baby girl! And, rightly so!

And, now, Miss Meredith in her favorite spot…the outdoors:

And, the final shot of the day was thought up and requested by Meredith’s family. This silver punch bowl belongs to Meredith’s Great-Grandmother and the pink blanket belonged to Meredith’s Mommy. I adore a photo with a sweet meaning behind it. Congratulations to you all! Meredith is a blessed little girl and I am so happy for you!:)
