I am so excited about this next year and spending some special milestone moments with this fun couple as they are one of my newest families to take part in the Little Gifts Newborn Club. Simone and Logan are awaiting the arrival of their first child sometime within the next few weeks. They are so very excited, and can’t wait to find out if they need to run out and buy pink or blue for their newborn session! They wanted to capture some photographs of them together as two before they are a family of three! Can you believe how beautiful Simone is? I mean, seriously, who is this fabulous with only a few weeks to go until delivery? Beautiful! I had so much fun laughing with these two, and enjoying a 70 degree day in January! We couldn’t believe our luck. I’m so happy for you both, and cannot wait to get that phone call soon that I’ve got another session to schedule…and if I should bring blue hats or pink! 😉

This is one of my very favorite photographs that I took in 2012 of sweet, smiling baby Summit and his beautiful parents when he was just a few days old…so precious!

I was blessed enough to be asked to photograph Mr.Summit on his actual 1st birthday last Thursday afternoon! And what a fun photo session it was and a great way to kick-start my 2013 year. It was cold, no doubt; but you’d never know it based on what a good boy Summit was for the session. We were so proud of him, and he smiled away at us as we worked together to capture his special day. I just LOVE that his parents came armed with ideas and plans for the session. The outfits they picked for him could not have been any more perfect for our session out in the field grasses. My favorite was his absolutely adorable orange chevron pattern tie…beyond cute! And, it is always such fun to watch a little one get their first taste of sugar. he-he! Summit went after that cupcake and loved every second of it! He was too cute licking the icing with this look of wonder on his face. The balloons were such a fun pop of color, too! Really just a perfect afternoon. Thank you, Rob and Autumn, for sharing your sweet baby boy with me! He just makes me smile! 🙂

I just imagine him saying: “Yes, ladies, I’m one now. And, I’m too cool!”

Lucas will be ONE on Saturday!! It’s hard to believe that it’s been a year since I first met this fun family right after the birth of this cute little guy! It’s been such a wonderful year photographing Lucas and his milestones. He was sooo happy this morning…despite the fact that us three adults were practically freeeeezing to death! You’d never know it bothered him by his great smile and his constant “singing”! Happy, happy birthday to you sweet guy! Have a great first birthday party this weekend! Saturday could not have been any more perfect for our last day of Mini Sessions in 2012! I am so very incredibly blessed to spend time with these families! Thank you, to each of you, for choosing my little company to capture these moments for you! Love, love, love this little boy!! Oh, how I kept threatening to bring him and his adorable smile home with me yesterday! So stinkin’ cute! 🙂 I hadn’t seen Benjamin since he was just days old, and he stole my heart then…so you can just imagine how much fun he is now! All smiling and sitting up like a big boy! And a grin and giggle that is beyond cute. We had the best time photographing him in his home and around Downtown Memphis on a cool and beautiful Fall morning in Memphis. Thanks so much for a wonderful morning! I just loved our time together and hope that you love your sneak peek of your lil man! 🙂

I kid you not, this little cutie pie posed himself like this, we didn’t do a thing! I see a future model on our hands! 🙂

Seriously, can they be any cuter?

I believe in miracles…always have!! And, this precious little boy is proof positive that our God is still a God of miracles. Meet little Holt, well, I say little but, really not so much. This lil dude joined our world at a whopping 10 pounds, 3 oz, and he is a chunk of love! He is the new little brother of my buddy, Knox, and beloved adopted son of our dear friends, David and Suzie. The details of the story are not as important as the end result. A precious little boy has found his forever home in the arms of a family who adores him! Those of us that know and love David and Suzie know that this has been the prayer of their hearts for years, and it is with such joy that I received this news days ago. It was such an honor to do a newborn photo session for Holt, as I had done one as well with Mr.Knox almost 5 years ago. Truly a joy!! “For this child, I have prayed and the LORD has granted what I have asked of Him.” 1 Samuel 1:27  Thank you, Lord, for your good and perfect gift to my friends!!

God love him, Sweet Holt decided he needed to be awake for the entire rest of our session! No problem, we just got lots of sweet eyes-wide-open looks! Love them, too!

Sweet Brothers!! So happy for this family!

I am SOOO excited for this family! I’ve been photographing this sweet bunch since the oldest brother was just weeks old. They have just added a new little one to their bunch, and waited until her birthday to find out if she was a boy or girl. And, WOW! Surprise! These two brothers now have a baby sister! So exciting to see Parker and Dawson love on their new little sister, Molly Kate. I know that she will be so adored and protected her whole life…lucky girl! And, my heart just smiled as I watched Molly Kate’s mom and grandmothers “ooh and ahh” over all the pink and frills Molly Kate sported during the session. So happy for this family! Congratulations, “H” family!! 🙂

In looking through these proofs from this session, I just kept grinning! You have to love little boys full of energy, laughter, and giggles! There were several fun photos of these fun boys just doing some good ol’ belly laughs…truly themselves! I just love it. I hope these sneak peeks bring a smile to your faces, too. Saturday was just beautiful outside in Memphis, until about 3:30pm, which is just about when this family’s session was slated to start. The clouds darkened, the lightning was off in the distance, and inside I was beginning to panic. But, I should’nt have worried. God was good and the rain happened all around us; but, we were able to get the session completed with no problems! YAY! And, I am so very glad because this set of siblings was so gorgeous and sweet and ready to go! We managed to get lots of smiles and sweet moments…I’d call it a huge success! This past Saturday was a beautiful Fall day in Memphis, so we shuffled a few folks around in trying to take advantage of the gorgeous weather. These sweet families meet me for their mini sessions and all went great! I always love the opportunity to meet new friends and catch up with ones I haven’t seen in awhile. These mini sessions gave me the opportunity to do both. I so enjoyed our time together and makes me even more excited to complete our mini sessions for this fall this coming up weekend.
