Luke!

October 13, 2010

I love me some Luke! He is another one of my little newborn club members from a few years ago and is growing up so fast. I have photographed this gorgeous family since before Luke was even born. I am always so honored to have return clients. Luke is just a sweet thing. He was so easy this time. His mom promised him a sucker if he behaved for his session. All we had to say was “sucker” and this huge grin would light up his entire face! It was too cute and so funny! Luke couldn’t make it to the original Mini Session Day he was scheduled for on Oct.2nd, so we fit him in early Saturday morning and it worked out perfectly! Lukers, you are awesome! πŸ™‚

Sadie Ann and family!

October 12, 2010

Meet the gorgeous Sadie Ann! Her mom just so happens to be the fabulous lady behind ourΒ photo jewlery line that we offer here at 1:17 Photography. Amy designs not only our photo jewelry but has so many amazing pieces. You’ve got to check them out on her website,Β http://www.amywellsdesigns.com/ Last Friday, however, the focus was not on jewelry! I did my yearly photo session with Amy and her family. Each year I photograph her absolutely stunning daughter, Sadie Ann. I love working with Sadie Ann. Not only is she beautiful, but she has such a fun time with me during the session and I really think that she enjoys herself! I love working with this family and know you are going to love this year’s images. Here’s just a few of my favorites! Enjoy!! πŸ™‚

Mac and Mary Caroline…

October 12, 2010

We all have them. Those days where you just are not yourself and Β you really don’t know why. Poor little Mac was having “one of those days” last week. His mom and I couldn’t quite figure out what was going on. She was saying over and over, “This is just not his normal self”. However, it didn’t stop us! πŸ™‚ The main purpose of this session was to capture Mac at around the same age as I photographed his big sister, Mary Caroline, in my little orange chair. Mac was a champ and pulled through great for those photographs, as you will see below. Oh, and that tough day? Think it was explained by the text I got from his mom about 5 minutes into my drive home after the session. “Mac is fast asleep!” Sweet boy! These children are so beautiful and sweet and I loved working with them, despite having “one of those days”! πŸ™‚ Enjoy their cuteness! Aww, could just eat them up!

Don’t know why, but I love this shot below. Reminds me of a real “old time” photo. Plus their big eyes just melt me!

My buddy, Jackson!

October 12, 2010

I’ve been photographing this darling little dude since he was just days old. I’ve known his Daddy almost my entire life and his sweet and gorgeous Mom has become a great friend! Jackson is ALL boy! Busy, curious, and fun! His Mom told me in my questionnaire, “Jackson has two modes, sleep and run!” I love it! Jackson is a tough kid and a fighter who since his first days as a little preemie newborn he has been endeared to my heart. Jackson, you are getting to be such a big boy. I loved hearing you sing and count in Spanish and talk about the moon! Hope you love your sneak peek! πŸ™‚

The Cannons!

October 6, 2010

We LOVE our neighborhood and I really do think that we have the best neighbors anywhere! All of our neighbors are great and we enjoy our friendships with all of them very much! My very last session on Saturday night was for our great neighbors that live across the street! I’ve been so looking forward to photographing them. They are such a fun and loving family;and, the session was lots of fun! Reed and Parker are two of my son’s best buddies so it was pretty easy to get some real smiles and laughs out of them! And, Joe and Lisa, they are just too cute together! Thanks, neighbors, for letting me capture a little glimpse into the fabulous family that you are! Enjoy your sneak peek! πŸ™‚

This first one is actually my favorite from the whole session! Love those smiles!

Mini Sessions in Arlington!

October 6, 2010

Saturday was a gorgeous Fall day all day long! Just simply perfect for our last Mini Session this year. Jodie and I had a blast hanging out with all the families that came to be photographed in the town square. It was so much fun! Only small hangup we encountered was the wind! We were about 2 sessions in when the wind just starting blowing in HUGE gusts! I’ll admit it was a big challenge to work around, especially for all the pretty ladies with their long, beautiful hair! But, we made it through and managed to get some really, really gorgeous portraits for these families! I am thrilled to show you all what we ended up with and hope that you love them! Thanks for another successful Mini Session!

Cotton Field Day Two!

October 5, 2010

Love, love, love these pictures in the cotton! Just so fun and different from what I normally do! This may very well need to become a yearly tradition for 1:17 Photography. However, not really sure how to plan them as the maturing of the cotton is so weather dependent. Last year it was November-this year it was September. Hmmm. A dilemma which I have an entire year to figure out! πŸ˜‰ All suggestions are welcome!

Hope you enjoy these sets of portraits as much as I do! All these sweet families below are not only my fabulous customers; however, they are also all my great friends! What a fun night! Enjoy!

Greg, Kristen and the crew!

September 29, 2010

Meet my college roommate, Kristen, and her gorgeous family! She and I have more scoop on each other than either of us probably cares to admit! We’ve been great friends for 20 years now and on Monday night, I had the opportunity to photograph her family for her. It is such a joy to see my sweet friend as a wife and mother and have the chance to capture this fleeting time in their lives with my camera. Kristen, so happy for you that these turned out so great! Your family is amazing as are you! Enjoy your sneak peek. So many more to come! πŸ™‚

2, 3, GO!

September 29, 2010

Brothers. Age 2 and age 3. Enough to make me a bit nervous. HA! Shouldn’t have been! Love this family. These sweet boys, Carter and big brother Hudson are some precious past customers that recently moved to Nashville. Their mom and dad so honored me by choosing to make a special trip back to their previous hometown in Collierville for another session with me! Awesome! We had a fantastic Fall morning and explored the town square. We went down some alleys and found spots that were perfect. And these outfits?! Y’all, I was in love. Just perfect for a fall session. I hope you guys love your sneak peek! Loved seeing you again! Enjoy! πŸ™‚

Surprise! The Cotton is ready!

September 28, 2010

I had the strangest thing happen to me last week. Part of being a photographer Β that shoots mainly outdoors is learning to deal with the weather. I’ve gotten pretty good at rescheduling sessions due to rain, dark clouds, mud, wetness, etc. However, I must say that I’ve never had to reschedule anything due to the LACK of rain! Last week I received a phone call from the very kind farmer who had offered up his cotton fields to me to use for the Mini Sessions I had scheduled for Oct.23rd. He proceeded to tell me that due to lack of rain and extreme heat that the cotton was ready to be harvested and I needed to move on those sessions. Yikes! Well, my clients are amazing because with only two days notice, I had half of them rescheduled for their cotton field sessions on Sunday night! The other half has their turn this coming up Friday!

Everyone showed up in such AWESOME clothes and looked so great! I really love the autumn look to these photos and really am pleased with how they turned out! Can’t wait for Friday to see what those sessions have in store. So, enough of my story. Take a look at these precious families! Happy Fall y’all! πŸ™‚
