The sweetest smile…

April 6, 2011

She has the CUTEST little smile!! LOVE!!! There are some kids that are just c.u.t.e. and little Miss Ella is so cute. She’s just this petite little bundle of happiness and the sweetest little smile you’ve seen in a while. We had a beautiful morning on Saturday playing together in the warm sunshine and she did such a wonderful job on her session. Her Mom and Dad just love her so very much and it’s so fun to see. Miss Ella, you were a joy and I loved working with ya’ll. Thank you for sharing your beautiful little girl! 🙂

Nora is Three!

April 5, 2011

I love this girl! Nora is another beautiful little girl whom I’ve had the pleasure of photographing most of her life. This year, she was a “big” girl. No doubt about it. She has changed so much in the past year and we had a great time on Friday having her special day. Nora is about to be a “big” sister for the first time in a few weeks, but this session was all about her. All about her smile, and her giggle. All about her happy grin and love for the silly faces her mom makes. All about her growing up and becoming a beautiful young lady! Just love her!  🙂

Lovely Lacy and Lexi!

April 5, 2011

Ya’ll..let me tell you. This session was SO.MUCH.FUN!! I loved it! One of the biggest blessings to me in this job is the ability to see return clients year after year and to see how they grow and change. I have been photographing Lacy since she was several months old and her sister since she was a baby as well. They always photograph beautifully, however, this session just seemed to top them all. I just love Lexi’s little pigtails. To me, they just make the picture! And Miss Lacy was so good on Friday and just did exactly what was asked and as a result we got some beautiful images. Take a look…

My personal favorite of the day is below. I just love everything about this one! 🙂

Don’t know why, but the below image just speaks to me. So lovely of her…

And, finally, the girls grandmother came along for the shoot as our helper for the day and so we ended up with a few “generational” shots. They weren’t planned ahead but I think they are coordinated and lovely! What a sweet, sweet family. Jennifer, thank you for sharing your family with me all these years. Hope you love these as much as I do! 🙂

Happy Heart Spring 2011!!

March 12, 2011

I love this time of year! Spring is coming so soon and I can hardly wait! I spent a VERY cold morning earlier this week with some precious little kiddos and we all kept thinking WARM thoughts! Doing the shoot each Spring and Fall for The Happy Heart in Arlington has become one of my favorite things to do each season. I’ve said it before and I will say it again, this place is a must-see if you are searching for a special outfit for your little ones. Their new spring lines are beyond fabulous, ya’ll! Really! 🙂 I love that they also have so many great choices for little boys, too! Those of us with boys understand this difficulty!

One of the things I love, among many, is that this store has incredible choices of clothing for photo shoots. Looking for something that coordinates for your children? Look no further. They are wonderful with “pulling it all together” and helping you coordinate the outfits and complete them with accessories that will make the look!

Please take a moment to look through these photos and see just a glimpse of what Happy Heart has to offer this spring. There is SO much more in the store! So, look and then get on over there and get some for yourself! 🙂

Want to see the entire set of images? I’d love to share the slideshow with you! Follow this link and enter the password, “Spring2011”! You’ll love it! And these just scratch the surface of what they have to offer there! Enjoy!

Grayson & Krissy!

March 3, 2011

I love my family so much! Seriously, all of them so very much. God has been beyond gracious to me in the gifts He has granted me in the area of my family. And, believe it or not, I include my “in-laws” within this statement! 🙂 Not everyone is as blessed as I am to have such an amazing family in their in-laws! Yesterday,in Memphis, was just beautiful! My little nephew, Grayson, almost 2 1/2 years was in need of some new photos;and, I was in need of wanting to be outdoors and do some shooting! I haven’t done an outdoor session since November, and I was itching to get out and play with God’s light! We included my awesome sister -in-law, Krissy, in the photos yesterday, too. She’s so beautiful, isn’t she? Love them and love these photos! Enjoy spring!!!

This group of pics with the two of them steal my heart!! Oh, I need to get some pics done with my own babies! 🙂

Molly is here!

January 14, 2011

My third newborn of this week took me on a drive out to Covington, TN! I had the pleasure of having a session with these beautiful ladies: 10-day-old Molly, 18-month-old big sister Adalyn, and beautiful mommy Amanda!

Amanda was the picture of a perfect mommy! Poor thing had frozen pipes the morning of our session, a newborn and an 18-month old and she was just graceful and happy as she could be. She and I had the best time playing with little Molly and trying her out in all kinds of poses, props, and clothes. Molly was a champ and slept comfortably through almost the entire event. We ended up with so many beautiful images and I had such a hard time narrowing down which ones to feature here. It was truly a joy working with these beautiful ladies! Welcome to world, Molly! You’re one blessed little girl!

Ryan and his Mommy!

November 15, 2010

Boys love their momma! I’ve always heard it and it is so very true. I met up with Ryan and Elizabeth last week for a quick session to capture some special mother/son moments. These two are so sweet together. I just loved Ryan! Such a soulful little guy with eyes that’ll tell you stories without saying a word! I think that these will always be very special to these two. It was fun to focus on their relationship and try to freeze it in time. 😉

First a few with Ryan alone. You know that I’ve gotta get these eyes! Whoa! My favorite below is the one where he is just striking a pose at me. Not smiling a bit, but love, love, love the look!

And, the ones with beautiful Elizabeth! My favorite is the one where he is looking up at her. How sweet!

Whitt!

November 15, 2010

A boy and his “Blankey”! Meet Whitt and his constant friend, Blankey! Love it! Having a daughter myself that is almost 7 years old and still loves her blanket, I love that we captured Whitt with his special love. These portraits will be so very dear to his parents someday. The sweetness of that cute little face wrapped up next to the softness of the blanket….aww, sigh….love!! Whitt is all boy and a busy one at that! Our purpose at this session, besides capturing Whitt himself, was to get some special ones of he and his gorgeous momma. Amy is so beautiful and photogenic. We both had to work and chase Whitt around pretty good to get him still for some shots, but we worked it out! I can tell how very much fun this family has together and how very much Mr.Whitt is loved. Thanks guys, for sharing your adorable little man with me. He just makes me smile! 🙂

A few with his Mommy!

And, finally, Daddy showed up for a few, too. They had fun making a big bear hug and a squishy out of Whitt! 🙂

Cooper & crew!

November 13, 2010

Oh, how I love to photograph cute little boys! Cooper fits that description perfectly! A precious combination of big, blue eyes and a little shy personality and he just charmed me right away! Such a good boy and, oh, how he loved his momma! Gotta love that! Cooper, his mom and dad and myself enjoyed a warm Fall morning this week out at Arlington Town Square. Cooper smiled his way the whole way through! It was plain to see the joy this little guy brings to his parents, and my hope is that someday in the future his Mom and Dad will look fondly back at these moments! Whitney and Rusty, thank you for sharing your family with me! Enjoy your sneak peek! 🙂

John & Lali…and family!

November 13, 2010

Loved this family! Mom told me within the first few minutes that she wanted to warn me that her kids can be quite difficult to get good pictures of! Good thing for all of us, her sweet and lovely little ones proved her wrong! We had a fabulous session together and just enjoyed the morning! I love how very much this family loved each other. It was just a joy to be in their presence! Little Lali is so sweet and kept asking if she could come to my house to play! HA! Love it! And little John, such a charmer and the cutest little grin! My favorites from this session were the ones when I just told everyone to give a big hug to each other. It’s almost like they just melted into one big happy hug! I hope you all enjoy your sneak peak!! 🙂
