I absolutely L.O.V.E. the cotton field sessions! They are just beautiful and really feel like the South! 🙂 I just think it looks so peaceful and clean! We had a beautiful night last Saturday playing in the fields with 8 different families! I must say that these Mini Sessions went as well as probably any set of Minis that I’ve done in all my years. All the children were so good, the clothing choices beautiful, and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect! Love, love, love! Warning: This is a long post, but I’m not going to say another thing! Just going to share with you just a taste of the sweet children (and their parents!) with whom I am privileged to work with. I am a blessed girl! Thanks, everyone, and enjoy your little sneak peek! 🙂

Cooper in the cotton!

September 27, 2011

I just love, love, love photographing in the cotton fields! There’s just something special about that sea of fluffy white “southern snow” that just seems so peaceful and beautiful to me! I have done Mini Sessions in the cotton fields the last couple of years, but this family wanted to have a full session, not just a few moments, devoted to capturing their sweet little family playing in the cotton. Cooper is such a sweet little boy with an adorable little smile! When he smiles really big, he almost squints he is so happy! 🙂 He had such fun just hanging out in the fields as we kept coming up with fun, new things to try to keep his interest! We ended up drawing in the dirt and laughing ALOT! Cooper and his Dad even ended the evening with a “sword” fight…see the last photo below. Whitney and Rusty, you have a wonderful family and Cooper is SO cute! He can come home with me anytime! Thanks for sharing your evening with me! 🙂

Knox and his family!

September 27, 2011

These are my precious friends, David and Suzie and their sweet little man, Knox! We have all been friends for a very long time, and my husband and I love them dearly. I can hardly believe that little Knox is about to be 4 years old in December. I promise you it was just yesterday that we got the phone call that our long-awaited prayers for his adoption had been answered and I was summoned to go and capture his little newborn photos:

And, now, Knox is just a big ol’ boy! He is just a sweetheart of a kid and so very smart! I just love being around him because when you are with him, you just cannot help but to smile. Yes, he is that cute! 🙂 Knox’s grandparents also came along for the session, and we were able to capture some sweet moments with the entire family as well as some individual ones of Knox interacting with his family. David and Suzie, I hope you know how much you are loved! And, I kinda like that little boy of yours a little, too…well, okay, I like him ALOT! Enjoy your sneak peek! 😉

I love the guys faces on this next one, too cute!

Sweet little Knox-man…

And, my favorite little family shot of the day! I was trying to get a photo of just David and Suzie when Knox ran up and “interrupted” our moment. Doesn’t get much cuter than this~

Cooper and his family!

September 22, 2011

What a little sweetheart this little man is! Meet Cooper. He is 3 years old. He loves his dog. And, he LOVES IronMan! Anytime he was “done” with the photo session, all his Mom had to do was to remind him that if he was cooperative he would get his IronMan costume when he got home. It worked brilliantly and Cooper was a perfect little boy for his session. This little guy loves any kind of super hero! Each time his Dad, aka “The Hulk” or his mom, aka “Weather Woman” would sneak up behind me in an attempt to make Cooper laugh, and to act silly and pretend they were going to “get me”, Cooper would come to my defense. He loves me! 🙂 He wasn’t going to let anyone hurt Mrs.Julie. Now who doesn’t love to be protected by a super hero?? Enjoy this look at Cooper’s sneak peek! 🙂

Mr. Personality…Colin!

September 20, 2011

Oh. my. word!! I am just LOVIN’ the results from this session with just recently turned 5 -year-old, Colin. We shot in downtown Memphis and had an absolute blast! Colin is full of life and laughter and his little charming personality just pulls you in from the moment you meet him! I hadn’t seen him in a couple of years and couldn’t believe how much he’s grown. He was just thrilled with the fact that he got to “see more of the city” and truly enjoyed our afternoon. We walked up and down the colorful downtown streets, rode the trolley, and finished up our afternoon at the National Civil Rights Museum. I can’t wait to share just a few of my favorites with you. Al and Anita, this boy is one-of-a-kind and he has stolen my heart with his gorgeous eyes, mischievous grin and sweet spirit! Thanks for sharing your sweet boy with me! Enjoy! 🙂

Welcome, Cameron!

September 16, 2011

Meet little Cameron and his big brother, Jack! If you’ve been following my work at all, you know that I normally only photograph newborns within the first 7-10 days after they are born. Little Cameron was one day shy of 1-month-old for his session yesterday. I could tell a real difference in how alert he was. However, he behaved so well and never cried once! He just gave us some sweet little eyes wide open photos that are adorable! Big brother Jack came along as well and loved playing in my backyard! He was a trooper and even let us stop him for just a few minutes so that he could participate in the session as well. These boys are so well loved and I can tell they have a family that adores them. Mom, and not one, but 2 grandmothers came along for the day. Now that is love! Welcome to the world, little Cameron! So glad to have you! 🙂

Meagan and Savannah

September 7, 2011

One beautiful day + two beautiful sisters= One Perfect Photo Session!! I had such fun reconnecting with Meagan and Savannah this morning! God provided us with just perfect weather and the girls were so great for their session! I had a tough time deciding which ones to post here. Sweet sisters, beautiful colors, perfect light! Enjoy! 🙂

Ella and Will…

August 31, 2011

This is Miss Ella and her new baby brother, Will…years ago…back in 2007! How sweet are they?

And, not much has changed in the last four years! They are still one of the cutest and sweetest little sister/brother pairs I photograph! I haven’t seen Will or Ella in about two years so it was so much fun to see them again and all grown up at ages 4 and 6! I always love the relationships that I’m able to build based on this business, and it is such a joy to catch up with old friends. First up, just so you can compare to this “old” photo, here’s a few of Will and Ella together!

Love this last one! Will may not be smiling, but his little eyes are just smoldering! I think it’s just perfect! 🙂

And, a few individuals as well. First up, the new big 1st grader…beautiful and fun Ella!

And, now it’s Mr.Will’s turn! He was a bit on the serious side for the majority of the session, but those serious big ol’ eyes are fantastic! 😉

Thanks for a fun night, my sweet friends!

Life is very busy when you have a 4-yr-old, a 2-yr-old and a 12-month-old! But, of what fun!! I met up with these beautiful children and their super fun and laid-back parents for a session at the Arlington Town Square! It was ridiculously hot, yet again! These three children are seriously adorable and have eyes that just melt you. I mean seriously!! Madeline is the sweet big sister…caring, mature, and very girly! Loved twirling and showing me her ballerina moves! Mr. Graham, almost 3 years old, was a little heart-breaker. Those big pouty eyes and lips just got me every shot! And, then, little Harrison…very laid-back, just takes life as it comes to him. I loved the results we achieved! Can’t wait to show you all the rest of them! Enjoy! 🙂

First up, a few of the three of them! Love how their personalities just shine through!

Graham…

And Harrison…

Sweet little ones…

There are some people who just cannot take a bad photograph! I mean seriously, not one bad picture in the bunch. And, this weekend, I was blessed enough to have not one but two little girls who have such wonderful luck! Meet Maggie and Emily, two very sweet sisters who had a great time at their photo session. We laughed and smiled through the whole session and kept it fun! I loved working with them and seeing them actually enjoy their time in the spotlight. I had the hardest time picking out which images to feature here. They are seriously all so great! Loved meeting you all and I hope you see some here you love as well. Enjoy! 🙂

And Emily…

Love the genuine smiles and hugs on this next one…
