Meet my friends Mel and Ginger and their three precious girls! I’ve been friends with this Mom, Ginger, for almost as long as I can remember. She and I grew up at different schools, but we went to church together for almost our entire lives, still to this day! Ginger and I have always been the kind of friends that can pickup right where we left off. I love her dearly, and was so thrilled to get to photograph her with her beautiful daughters and her fun hubby, Mel. Seriously, this group didn’t know how to take a bad photo. Beautiful, every last one of them-not only on the outside, but on the inside, too! Love you so much “V” family!! Enjoy! πŸ™‚

And, to round out the evening, a few of Miss Joy by herself, wearing the same beautiful white dress her sweet big sisters wore at this same age. Gotta love these!! πŸ™‚

Here’s another little sweetie who has quickly gone from this:

To this beautiful and happy girl!

Brooke is such a cutie pie! Poor baby girl was struggling yesterday with some teething issues, but bless her heart she pulled through great considering all she really wanted to be doing was gnaw on her hands or have her pacifier! πŸ™‚ She brought along her so adorable big brother, George, as well as her Mom and Dad for the photo session. I love our results and so enjoyed working with this wonderful family again. I can’t believe that she’ll be one in just a few short months! Enjoy the cuteness of Brooke and family!

Happy with Daddy! πŸ™‚

Anyone who lives in the Memphis area can tell you that Spring came early this year! Therefore, I had to shuffle around my mid-April Mini Sessions. Of course, since we were moving everyone around it didn’t quite work out that all families could come on the same day. So we just put everyone on a couple of different evenings! The first batch was a huge success. Oaklawn GardenΒ was just absolutely breathtaking with all the spring color. God was showing his beautiful creation in a magnificent way! And, I had two very fun and sweet families to work with as well!

First up, an adorable group of brothers! Loved meeting and working with this family for the first time! So sweet!

Next up, was oh so very spunky little Ann Dawson! I hadn’t photogaphed this sweet girl in a couple of years and she hasn’t really changed a bit! I absolutely ADORE her amazing spirit and fun attitude! She had the best time being photographed, and even let her Mom and Dad jump in on a few, too! So great to see y’all again! πŸ™‚

Julia and Will…

March 27, 2012

Oh, what fun to see my friends Julia and Will again! I have been working with these sweet children since Will was just a tiny baby; and, it is just so much fun for me to see them growing. I see them developing their own personalities, and they are just great! We had a BEAUTIFUL morning at the Botanic Gardens. This Spring has just been glorious…even if it is about a month earlier than normal! Thank you so much, “P” family for continuing to share your children with me. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek! πŸ™‚

Grayson and Parker!

March 23, 2012

One of my favorite things in my business is when a customer and I have the same idea, and we get to work on executing it together! For years I have been wanting to photograph someone in a field of wild grass. And, the other day at this mom’s sister’s newborn session (follow that?! ha!), the mom and I were discussing those fields, and how we thought it’d be a great idea for a session. So, we planned it out that very day! And the results were AWESOME!!! Cannot wait to do more of this type session! I felt a little dual-personality working on these proofs as, Sherrie, the mom really wanted these for a black and white photo gallery she’s started in her home. However, as much as I loved the black and whites, I really loved the color, too. So, Sherrie, forgive me….had to throw in a few color ones, too. Just loved them all! I hope you guys do, too! Enjoy! πŸ™‚

Cutie little Grayson! Loved his faces! πŸ™‚

And big brother, Parker! So handsome.

And, finally, these last three were in front of an old grain elevator. Love, love, love the last few of them goofing around! Such precious boys!

Triple blessed! That’s how I felt leaving this photo session with three beautiful sisters! It was AWESOME! The girls behaved beautifully and came ready with smiles and charmed me all morning with their sweetness. God provided us with beautiful weather and a backdrop of unbelievable spring flowers. I’ve been photographing these girls since the oldest was three years old, and now she is almost 7! Crazy how fast time flies. This session was to mark little Jane’s one-year-old birthday, but big sisters came along, too. Usually, when there are siblings, there isn’t necessarily lots and lots of “group” shots to choose from. There’s always one that has their eyes closed, or a silly face, etc. But….this session…I kid you not, almost every photo of the three girls together was absolutely precious. I had the hardest time picking which ones to post here, and honestly, didn’t do a very good job of just picking a few! Ward and Katie, your girls just stole my heart this week. Thank you for sharing them with me! Enjoy! Soooo many more coming your way soon! πŸ˜‰

A few individuals…first up, Jane!

Next, my precious friend, Maddie!

And, big sister Mary Caroline!

And, more of the girls together. Seriously LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them all!!!

Too cute not to share!

As a photographer, there’s always a few things that can make you a little anxious about a photo session. Getting notice that you have an evening with a family of five children ages 6 and under can definitely cause a little heart flutter! πŸ™‚ But, when I read the next line that the session was with one of my favorite 1:17 families, all those worries went away. Meet Beth and John and their simply precious family. John is a pastor in Memphis at a local church, and he and his sweet wife, Beth have adopted all 5 of these adorable children. I first photographed them when their oldest was barely a year old…and now here they are with an entire house FULL of joy! πŸ™‚ Their story is such a beautiful one and a true picture of God’s grace and of His love for us. I just ADORE them! These photos were not originally posted last Fall when we took them because they were intended for the family’s Christmas card. John, Beth and I were beyond thrilled with how wonderful the children were that evening and we all just fell in love with this session! So happy to share this family with you! Enjoy! πŸ™‚

If you were in Memphis this past weekend, you will know what I am talking about when I mention the CRAZY winds we had all weekend long. These winds were so strong and gusty! I had this session planned for months with my next door neighbor and good friend, Kim, and wasn’t about to let some wind get in my way. Wind can be quite a challenge when four of the six people you are photographing have beautiful long hair! πŸ™‚ Β But…We did it! We somehow managed to hide out among the buildings in the Arlington Town Square, and captured some awesome photos of this great family! Believe it or not, I had a really tough time picking which ones to blog there are so many great ones. I am so blessed to have such great neighbors! Take a look at this amazing family…

Wow! What an exciting time for my sweet friends Katie and Jeremy! They just welcomed their fourth child, little Beau, into their family just about two weeks ago. I have had the joy of photographing Katie’s first two children on their 2-year-old birthdays in their little white outfits. This year, it was Mr.Hampton’s turn.

Β
So after we finished up with little Hamp, we made our best attempt at a new family photo! I just love this family so much and couldn’t be happier for them. Congratulations to all of you! I just know there are so many fun memories to be made with your fun family of four! πŸ™‚

“Sisters, Sisters”…

November 14, 2011

It’s almost Christmas time and when thinking of titles for this blog post about two sisters and their families, I immediately thought of that song from the movie “White Christmas” entitled “Sisters”! Love that song as it makes me smile! Just like these two families make me smile, too. I had the pleasure of photographing two sisters and their families this weekend at their parents fantastic home! Seriously a photographer’s dream. And it didn’t hurt that the families were just sweet, charming and gorgeous! First up for the day was my first time to photograph little 8-month-old Sophie! So petite and dainty and stinkin’ adorable. I loved her sweet smile! And, add in her beautiful mom and dad and you get magic! πŸ™‚

And once I finished with the first gorgeous family, the second beautiful family arrived with Sophie’s cousins Kaitlyn and A.J. We quickly snapped a few of the three cousins together. It’s pretty amazing that these two little baby cousins are only 2.5 weeks apart! Love it! πŸ™‚

I last photographed Kaitlyn and A.J. when little A.J. was a newborn. I cannot believe what a big boy he has become! I just love this fun family and always enjoy spending time with them. I love the colors in their photos and am so very happy with the results. Love!! πŸ™‚
