Finally!! After a very long break from shooting outdoors during the winter months, I finally…FINALLY!!…got to shoot a beautiful session outdoors this past weekend. My shoots at Botanic Gardens in the fields of daffodils become a yearly tradition for us here at 1:17 Photography, and I truly love them so very much. They never disappoint, and neither did this sweet family of two sisters, Kaylee and Kassidy. Such sweet girls along with their parents and grandfather, we all enjoyed a beautiful spring day of 70 degree temps, warm sunshine and beautiful flowers. November 6, 2012Saturday was just beautiful outside in Memphis, until about 3:30pm, which is just about when this family’s session was slated to start. The clouds darkened, the lightning was off in the distance, and inside I was beginning to panic. But, I should’nt have worried. God was good and the rain happened all around us; but, we were able to get the session completed with no problems! YAY! And, I am so very glad because this set of siblings was so gorgeous and sweet and ready to go! We managed to get lots of smiles and sweet moments…I’d call it a huge success! Lily is One!
November 6, 2012I can hardly believe this sweet girl turned a year old on Sunday! It’s been such a fun year watching Miss Lily grow up from a little baby into a big girl. It was a joy to meet with her and her family in the lovely colors of Fall at the Botanic Gardens and celebrate a wonderful first year! Thanks for sharing your lovely girls with me! Alice is Sitting and Smiling!
November 6, 2012My sweet lil niece is getting so big so very quickly! She has stolen the hearts of our entire family, but especially those of her big sisters. We both found some time in our busy schedules a couple of weeks ago for a quick morning session of Alice, Olivia, and Lucy. I just love these sweet girls so very much, and I’m thrilled to get the opportunity to capture them “growing up” right before my eyes. Love you, girls! Cooper is Sitting and Smiling!
November 2, 2012Warning: Extreme Cuteness Alert!! Gerber Baby ahead…pinch-able cheeks and all! 🙂 Sweet lil Cooper is getting to be such a big boy! He is sitting and almost ready to crawl any minute. And, he is sooo cute, ya’ll, with a grin that’ll steal your heart! Love working with Cooper and Chase! So proud of big brother, Chase, too. He did such a good job at the session as well. A sweet family, precious boys, and a session full of smiles! A photographer can’t ask for much more than that, can I? Love it!

November 2, 2012This FUN family comes to me most years in the fall for their yearly family portraits! I love their laid-back style, laughter and obvious love for each other. They just made me smile and laugh throughout the entire session, and it shows in their portraits. It’s a fun and loving hour of time, captured forever as a memory for these sweet children and their parents to have for years to come. Haven’t said it in a while…but…I sure do LOVE my job!! 🙂
Brooke is one!
November 1, 2012I can hardly believe this beautiful little girl is ONE!! She actually turned one in August, but this smart mom waited a bit so that we could coordinate some photos with big brother as well to use for Christmas Cards. We met up at Brooke’s home and had the best time playing and shooting in their yard, on their steps, and in Brooke’s room. I am in L.O.V.E. with her bedroom. We did photos there for her newborn session and finished up in there today. Beautiful light! A wonderful place to use to bookend Brooke’s first year! Thanks so much for sharing your sweet children with me this past year! 🙂

Grayson and Parker…
October 26, 2012Oh my word, I just want to pack up and live on the golf course at Spring Creek..it is SOOO beautiful out there in the Fall colors! Yesterday was such a gorgeous fall afternoon full of bright colors, warm truly “golden” sunlight, and two fun & energetic boys! Always love my time with these two boys and this was no exception. Can’t wait to do it again next year…but they’ll just have to come find me as I’ll be hanging out on this beautiful course! 🙂
