Hailey is Two!!

June 16, 2013

Me: “Where is Hailey? I can’t find Hailey!”

Hailey: ” I’m right hee-ya!!” Laugh, laugh, laugh…giggle, giggle, giggle…look completely adorable!!

This is what is so much fun about two-year-olds, they think that I am super hilarious!! And, they make the absolute cutest little faces when they laugh. I’ve been photographing Miss Hailey since she was just days old, and I just love this little princess. She’s so dainty and polite and agreeable and all-out awesome!! I just loved our session, and how she kept me smiling and in awe of how beautiful she is becoming. Happy birthday to you, sweet girl!! And, thank you, Mom and Dad “V” for continuing to bring your sweet girl to me year after year. She is awesome and I know you are so proud of her! 🙂

Vitek2yrs16

This is just about as perfect as it could get for a little boy who just turned four and loves trains! I’ve been photographing Jackson since he was just a newborn, and he is just as cute now as he was then…perhaps even more so! He is now turning into such a little man and sooo very talkative. Before, he would be so shy with me, and this week we had the best conversations. He just talked and talked and I absolutely loved it. Could’ve brought him home with me in an instant! 🙂 He loves trains right now, so his very smart Momma decided to do this 4th birthday session at the trains and they all turned out just adorable. He was having the best time. Be sure you scroll all the way down to the end and see the surprise that he got at the very end of our session. A real train came by only feet away from us and he was able to stand and watch them go by. I just ADORE the look of awe on his face. So precious and fleeting and such a smart Mom to capture these moments while she can. Happy birthday to you, Jackson!!  Untitled-2 Untitled-1

Olivia, Andrew & family!

June 11, 2013

It is sooo much fun for me when I get to see families that I haven’t seen in awhile. I know after almost 8 years in this business I should get used to the fact that children grow up…even when I don’t get to see them for several years…but, it always amazes me how very much they change over the years. I haven’t seen Olivia since she was 3 or 4 years old, and now she is 7 and has an adorable little 4-year-old brother, Andrew! After many tries of schedule conflicts and spring rain outs, we finally had the opportunity to meet up at the Botanic Gardens last week and had the best time together. These are some amazing kids, and I loved spending time with them and capturing just a glimpse into their family. Ellen and Brook, you’ve got a lovely family and I know you are so very proud of them. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek…sooooo many more to come! 🙂

Charlie is One!

June 11, 2013

She sweetly loved on him a year ago when he was just days old:

And, now, Mr.Charlie is growing up and big sister plays games with him and still loves him very much! So sweet!!

I cannot believe Charlie is already ONE!! Wow! This year has flown by, and it feels like it was just moments ago that I was at his home taking pictures of he and his family for his Newborn Session. Yet, here he is, all adorable and cute and standing up like a big boy! I adore this family and their precious children. What a joy to celebrate with them year-after-year the gifts that are their children. Happy birthday to you, Charlie!! 🙂 I sure do love your smile!!

And those big and beautifully stunning eyes are amazing, too! 🙂
We grabbed just a few of Miss Abby, too…since she was there and looking adorable as well. Thanks, K family, for sharing your babies with me. I love them!!Untitled-1

Lovely, lovely Lydia…

June 11, 2013

When your first few clicks of the shutter produce images like these, you KNOW it’s going to be a super fun and beautiful session. I was thrilled to have Miss Lydia and her parents back again this year to mark her 2nd birthday! What a beauty this little girl is! Oh my goodness, just darling. Her curls and big blue eyes just captured me right away. And then, she talked and talked to me and was just too precious with her little words and screams at the ants and bugs. She’s quite hilarious and kept me laughing the entire time. I feel so honored to have been able to capture her adorableness once again. What a sweet angel you guys have! Thank you for sharing her with me.She’s a living doll!! Untitled-1We grabbed just a few quick ones with Mom and Dad, too. My favorite is the last one in black and white where she spontaneously leaned over and snuggled into her Momma. So sweet!!

Brecon is Two!!

June 6, 2013

Brecon is too cute!! Don’t you just love his blond hair and shining eyes? And, that cute little grin is just a lil’ heart-breaker waiting to happen. This little man was such fun. Loved his fascination with the bullfrog in the pond..haha! Even though it was much more interesting than I could ever hope to be. 🙂 Regardless we ended up with some great photos of this very photogenic little man. Loved how he kept calling me “Jewie”…so precious. I almost took him home with me, but I think his Mom and Dad would kinda miss him. You can tell from their photos below with him that they are pretty enthralled with their guy…as they should be! Sweet little buddy! Hope you enjoy your sneak peek…lots more to come! 🙂

What an incredible opportunity I was given to meet this phenomenal family on Monday! I was contacted by my friend, Ashley (aka Ingram’s mom), a few weeks ago about a friend of hers she has met through their days together at St.Jude with two little 4-year-old boys that are fighting the battle of their lives at St.Jude. Ashley told me that Reid’s mom, Amy, had fallen in love with our city’s Botanic Gardens and really wanted some portraits made there. Ashley thought I might could help and I gave an enthusiastic “YES!”. And, Reid and his family were such a blessing to me! The guys had me laughing the entire time, and I loved how Amy just laughed right along with them. 🙂

Reid was diagnosed with spindle cell sarcoma behind his left eye in July 2012 which resulted in the loss of his left eye. He recently finished his treatments including 7 rounds of chemo and 9 radiation treatments. While they were in town last week, he had his first post treatment scans last Thursday. The scans were clear!!!! Though this family lives in Louisiana, they will return to St.Jude every 3 months for scans for one year. Then it will go to every 6 months and eventually annual check ups. What an inspiring example of courage this little man is! And, big brother Wyatt…the strong silent type! He had me laughing the whole time with his funny one-liners and jokes. Mom and Dad, Amy and Lance, are so laid back and easy going. We had a wonderful time just being together and enjoying the moment.

Although we haven’t known each other that long, this awesome family had a way of making me fall in love with their joy and courage and the love they had for one another. The kind of family that we all wish we could be in our darkest days. Lance and Amy, you have two beautiful boys whose smiles and laughter are just the BEST! I know you are so extremely proud of them. Thank you for the opportunity to share in your journey and celebrate  clean scans with you! You have made an impact on me that  I will not soon forget! In reading this quote the other day, your family immediately came to my mind: “Anyone can give up, it’s the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that’s true strength.” – Unknown

I just LOVE this smile! 🙂 Meet Reid…

And, this next heartbreaker, Wyatt! Precious…you can tell these little men love their momma!
These are their “tough” faces! Haha!
Dad gets some big smiles, too!
Gotta love the tounge in this next one. Silly boys! 🙂  Untitled-1To find out more of how to support St.Jude in their fight to end childhood cancer, please visit their website, http://www.stjude.org/ Reid and his family thank you! 🙂

Sam and Coco…

May 21, 2013

Team Davis…love it! That is what this Mom calls her crew, and what a team they are! I’ve been photographing these two cuties since they were both newborns and just a few days old. It is so hard for me to believe how very big they both are now. They have got the best smiles and so much love shared between them. What an amazing family! Thanks for continuing to share your family with me and giving me the joy of documenting your memories for you through the years. What a beautiful group! Love you guys! 🙂

Allie and Nora…

May 21, 2013

WOW! This session was so much fun! I’ve been working with these two little loves since they were both little bitty babies. Can hardly believe that Nora is starting Kindergarten in August, and that Allie is two. Time really does go by so very quickly. I consider this sweet family not just clients, but my friends! It’s the best to get hugs at the beginning of a session because its like meeting up with old friends, and then getting them again at the end of the session because you had so much fun together and are grateful for the smiles and laughter that just transpired. So happy to continue to document their growing up years. Love, love, love these images and this great family! 🙂

Love these ones of Allie in her hat! Hat photos are so much fun!!

These girls…so pretty! I just couldn’t stop blogging them! 🙂

Griffin is two!

May 17, 2013

This was what we saw for most of Griffin’s session…him walking (or running!) away from me and my camera! haha! But, you know, I still LOVE this photo soo much. The sweetness of his curls and little bare feet. Looks so sweet and innocent doesn’t it? Love! Little Griffin had one purpose for this session and it was for me to capture him at 2-years-old for his portrait to match with his 3 older siblings. He is adorable and he is busy! 🙂 Love this kid. I adore his big eyes and precious smile and the way he liked for his mom and I to sing to him. Who knew our singing could make him stop in his tracks…is that a good thing? HA! Love what we ended up with, and that he made us work to get it! Even Mom and big sis Emily joined in on the fun, too! Precious family! Enjoy!

These next few are my favorites because there is an old antique fire truck behind him, and dad works for the Fire Department! Kinda cool, I think!

Aren’t they all just a beautiful family!
