Look who else is Sitting and Smiling…Campbell!

Another of our Little Gifts Newborn Club little ladies is growing up and learned to sit and smile since we last saw her looking like this:

Well, now look at this happy little girl! Poor baby had an ear infection and probably wasn’t feeling 100%. However, you’d never know it from looking at these images. Campbell was such a precious good girl at her session on Tuesday and we ended up with some gorgeous images for her session. I love her giggle and laugh and how it just lights up her whole face…right down to her curled up toes. 🙂

Now this is southern cuteness to its fullest. A bonnet, a smocked dress, monograms cherry trees, daffodils and tulips! Gotta love it!

Welcome, sweet Hayleigh!

Another sweet newborn girl has joined our world! Meet little Hayleigh! She was born at a few days after 40 weeks old! Wow. Don’t hear of that often much anymore. She has the most beautiful hair color with just a tint of red…gorgeous! And her features and just so tiny and dainty, too. We enjoyed meeting you and spending time with you, Hayleigh. Congratulations, Amy and Jon on your beautiful new addition. So happy for ya’ll!! 🙂

Well…look at this big boy now! What a precious little boy this is. He is so very loved by his Mommy and Daddy. This was one of the first of my fun spring sessions coming up over the next few months. Happy Heart Spring 2011!!

I love this time of year! Spring is coming so soon and I can hardly wait! I spent a VERY cold morning earlier this week with some precious little kiddos and we all kept thinking WARM thoughts! Doing the shoot each Spring and Fall for The Happy Heart in Arlington has become one of my favorite things to do each season. I’ve said it before and I will say it again, this place is a must-see if you are searching for a special outfit for your little ones. Their new spring lines are beyond fabulous, ya’ll! Really! 🙂 I love that they also have so many great choices for little boys, too! Those of us with boys understand this difficulty!

One of the things I love, among many, is that this store has incredible choices of clothing for photo shoots. Looking for something that coordinates for your children? Look no further. They are wonderful with “pulling it all together” and helping you coordinate the outfits and complete them with accessories that will make the look!

Molly is here!

My third newborn of this week took me on a drive out to Covington, TN! I had the pleasure of having a session with these beautiful ladies: 10-day-old Molly, 18-month-old big sister Adalyn, and beautiful mommy Amanda!

Amanda was the picture of a perfect mommy! Poor thing had frozen pipes the morning of our session, a newborn and an 18-month old and she was just graceful and happy as she could be. She and I had the best time playing with little Molly and trying her out in all kinds of poses, props, and clothes. Molly was a champ and slept comfortably through almost the entire event. We ended up with so many beautiful images and I had such a hard time narrowing down which ones to feature here. It was truly a joy working with these beautiful ladies! Welcome to world, Molly! You’re one blessed little girl!

Christian…a happy boy!

Christian is 11 weeks old and such a happy little guy! Those who follow me know that I don’t normally like to shoot “newborn” sessions past 2 or so weeks. But, I made an exception for little Christian as he was in town from San Francisco (poor kid to have to grow up there!) visiting his Grandma, and, well we work with what we have, right? I am so glad to have had the opportunity to meet this sweet family. We shot the session in a gorgeous home down in Harbor Town overlooking the Mississippi River. The room in which we shot was a photographer’s dream studio. Walls of windows, bright sunlight reflecting off of the river and the freshly fallen snow, and white painted walls and white carpet! It was yummy light for sure. We tried our best to get the little guy to fall asleep…and he did…for about 5 minutes! HA! However, it worked out just fine because he was full of smiles and laughter that’ll make your heart melt. Take a look for yourself. Enjoy happiness!

Coco is Sitting and Smiling!

Happy New Year! Can hardly believe it is 2011! I’ve had a wonderful break and time-off with my family. On Friday, I had my first session of the year with Miss Coco! She is a part of the Little Gifts Newborn Club and this session was for her “Sitting and Smiling” moment! Coco’s beautiful momma always has great ideas for her sessions and this one was no different. We decided to do the session at Coco’s grandmother’s gorgeous home and take advantage of a more formal look and take some photographs of Coco in her christening gown. I love the mixture of traditional poses as well as the classic “1:17” shots that are more my style. And her beautiful gown was just calling for some vintage looks as well so I indulged! I hope you all enjoy this first Sneak Peek of the year! So excited about all this is to come!

Welcome, sweet Kiser!

Oh my goodness, this little lady! Sooo very sweet! So very new, only four days! So very, very loved! I made the drive out to Nesbit, Mississippi today to photograph the newborn daughter of one of my college friends. I loved everything about this session. I loved that little Kiser has an amazingly “crazy” head full of hair! I love that her Mom, Megan, had so many fun hats, dresses, blankets and props all ready for me to use….just wish we had more time to use them all! I think after about 2 hours Miss Kiser had enough! She was such a good little girl! I love that Kiser had so much family at the session to watch her. Her “Grams”; plus,her aunt and uncle and cousins all the way from Colorado! I love that her sweet Daddy was so worn out (and kind enough to want to stay out of our way) that he went to sleep in the master bedroom closet! Gotta love a Daddy like that! I love that God designed us to love our family from the very first moments! Kiser is so very loved and she’s only hours old. Isn’t it amazing how God made us that way? What a wonderful Thanksgiving this family has in store! So very much to be thankful for! Welcome, Kiser! You are one blessed little angel! 🙂

And, you know, I think I am starting a trend on capturing newborn smiles! This one’s a keeper! Even a little dimple, I think! I think her smile is all you, Megan! 🙂

And then…we played dress-up with hats! So.much. FUN!!

And, finally, my personal favorite…the Christmas hat! Isn’t this just awesome! Kiser’s Grandmother made this just for her! Happy Holidays, everyone!

Happy 1st Birthday Eli!

Eli is one! Happy Birthday little guy! It’s so hard to believe that it was just a year ago that Eli first arrived and I was photographing him for his newborn session. I know if it seems like just yesterday to me, it must really seem like that to his parents. Eli is so sweet! Poor guy was just getting over a bad illness and was a little clingy at first. We decided to stick with it and as the morning went on he seemed to do much better. So many sweet ones to choose from for this session. I really had a hard time picking the ones to blog. Hope you love them as much as I do, Laura and Josh! Eli is a special little guy to have you guys in his life! I know it’s been a rough road lately and I hope that these photographs bring you much joy! 🙂

Welcome, Emily!

A new baby is always such a blessing! But, when she comes into a family that has two siblings old enough to adore and appreciate her…that’s the BEST! Sweet Emily made her debut into this adorable family last week and is already the little star of the show. This little darling came into the world at nearly 10 pounds! She made fabulous little newborn photographs because of her full cheeks and little chubby belly and legs. I was in love! She was such a good little girl and behaved like a little angel. We started the day with a few of her all alone and she was so beautiful. Then, in came her charming big brother, Samuel, and precious little lady, big sister, Lynlee! This family was just so sweet and their love for each other was so real you could almost reach out and touch it! Just perfect in every way! Welcome, Miss Emily! You are so loved! 🙂
