Adam Stephen is One!

May 2, 2011

I can hardly believe it has already been a year since I photographed this gorgeous little face:
Saturday was a crazy afternoon for photographing and we almost cancelled this session due to dark clouds and some sprinkles on our way into the Botanic Gardens. But…we were all there and they were dressed and ready to go! So we went for it. I’m so happy we did. Adam Stephen is clearly the little clown in the family. He was b.u.s.y!! Wow! On the go the whole time, but so adorable. Our main purpose was to photograph him for his one year portraits. Here’s a few of my favorites.

This was SO him…love it!

We also managed to squeeze in some family shots including big sisters Isabel and Iris as well as Mom and Dad. Aren’t they just the most beautiful family? Seriously! 🙂 On this first one, I know that they aren’t looking at the camera, but I love that they are laughing and so natural looking. So cute!

So adorable! You’ve got to have a picture of Iris in the irises, right?

And, beautiful Isabel…

Meet Aiden! He just turned One-Year-Old recently and this session was to celebrate that milestone. We captured some precious looks from him as well as had some great ones that included his family as well. And, pu-leeze, those eyes?? Are they not absolutely gorgeous? Melt me now. Happy Birthday, baby boy. You are a sweetheart! 🙂

I love Mini Sessions!! They go by so very quickly and I get the opportunity to interact with so many different families. It is such a joy. Some “old” faces and some “new” faces…but all beautiful faces! 🙂 God provided us a lovely spring evening to enjoy and photograph. Thanks to everyone who participated. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

First up was Miss Abigail. A quick shoot just for her since she ended up being sick the day of her session a couple of weeks ago. These smiles made it worth trying a 2nd time around!

Next was a new 1:17 family, and I so loved these two cuties. I ended up with soo many cute photos of these two. Meet Reese and Ryan!

Anna Grace and her brother, Peyton were up next. I hadn’t seen Anna Grace since I had shot her newborn session and couldn’t believe how big she was. 18 months and 7 months can definitely be a challenge to photograph together, but I am pleased with our results and love these two little smiles! 🙂

I usually photograph these next two, Addie and Trent, at my Mini Sessions in the fall. We switched it all up this time and did their session in the spring. To add to the fun, we added in their Mom and Dad for this set. I adore the love and joy this family shares. The snuggles are the best! 🙂

Jackson was next, and he’s getting SO big I can hardly stand it! I have photographed him since he was around 4 months old, and he is about to be 2 years already. His brown eyes are so soulful…they just melt me! Love him!

I photographed Miss Molly, her sister, Adalynn, as well as her mom at her newborn session in January. This spring it was time for all the family, including Dad, to get a portrait together. Again, photographing a 21 month old and a 3.5 month old can be very challenging; however, this family just smiled and looked beautfiul through the entire thing. Arent’ they all just gorgeous? 🙂

I haven’t seen this family in about 3 years and it was so good to reconnect! These sweet sisters have added a brother into the mix and this session was mostly about capturing him at this age. He has these a-maz-ing blue eyes…swoon! 🙂 However, we had to do a quick one with all three of them! Love it!

Last up for the night was one of my favortie sets of twins…Katie and Erika! These precious sisters have become somewhat of my Mini Session “regulars” and they did such a good job Saturday night. Like many others, this was their first session with me in the Spring instead of Fall. I so enjoyed seeing them in their sweet white dresses and sharing love with each other. It was the perfect ending to a fabulous night! 🙂

Bryant is One!

April 20, 2011

Another sweet boy has gone from this…

To this!! Wow! What a cutie-patootie! Love him and his cuteness! Happy First Birthday, sweet boy! 🙂

Thank you for sharing this precious little boy with me! You’ve got a sweetheart with him! 🙂

Carter is One!

April 15, 2011

Oh, little man, Carter! You and those killer blue eyes! And, that precious little smile. Don’t even get me started on those little feet that you kept crossing. Happy #1 little guy! I so enjoyed spending time with you this week. I’ll just get straight to what you came here to see. Carter’s photos are just adorable! Love! 🙂

Told you the feet were too cute! 🙂

Peek-a-boo! I see you!

Remember this hilarious blog done by my friend, Ashleigh, detailing the perils and distresses that accompany finding clothing for her upcoming photo shoot? If you haven’t read it, please take a moment to read it now before viewing the photos. I promise it’ll make you smile and make this sneak peek all the more exciting! Well, she didn’t need to worry one bit! Ashleigh and family showed up Tuesday night for their session looking glamorous and we had a wonderful time together! I loved this session because it was so real…everything about it! From the genuine love that you see between Ashleigh and Patrick as well as the love between them and their children. I love that Shelby’s hair isn’t “perfect” but there are a few little wisps here and there that match perfectly against her bruises on her legs and blue band-aid! 🙂 I love little Patrick’s missing front teeth and his Spider-man house-shoes that show up in some shots because somehow we all kept forgetting to take off as we walked from spot to spot! 🙂 I love that little Gibson was more interested in the birds and my camera than he was about smiling for it! 🙂 But see, all these things are what make this family who they are right now! Love!! Ashleigh and Patrick, you already know this but, you have a great family! I hope these photos are a treasure to you in years to come. Enjoy!

Caleb is One!

April 6, 2011

Caleb is a sweet and happy baby boy! He has to be one of the most even-tempered little boys I’ve ever photographed. And, so very sweet! I enjoyed our morning out for his session to mark his one year birthday. I just love his little “movie-star” hair that curls in a sweep over to the side. Oh, and those blue eyes? Don’t even get me started. 🙂 Happy Birthday, Mr. Caleb!

Abby is One!

April 6, 2011

Abby is so shy…well, maybe not so much! This sweet baby girl has grown up so fast this past year and I can hardly believe that she is already 14 months old. Abby is one of my sweet baby planners from this past year and we have had such a great time working together. I thought that Abby’s first two sessions were just amazing, but she saved this best for last. We met up Sunday afternoon…remember how extremely windy it was? That was a challenge! 🙂 Abby showed up ready to go and FULL of personality. She had a blast hamming it up for the camera as myself, her parents and 4 grandparents watched “The Abby Show”. It was such a pleasure getting to capture her little personality through my lens. It brings me joy to know that moment will always be around for her parents to enjoy! These next 6 photos are just a sampling of the joy that she shared with us in the first few minutes of her session. There were more of her cute faces, but these are my favorites! They’ll make you smile! 😉

And, one quick one with Mom and Dad, too!

I am always a little nervous to move a child when they are obviously SO happy in a spot; however, shouldn’t have been with Abby. She was just as happy the rest of the afternoon and I love all her photos. The bonnet one is my FAV!!! Thank you, Brandon and Emily for sharing your sweet daughter with me this past year. I have enjoyed every moment!

Lovely Lacy and Lexi!

April 5, 2011

Ya’ll..let me tell you. This session was SO.MUCH.FUN!! I loved it! One of the biggest blessings to me in this job is the ability to see return clients year after year and to see how they grow and change. I have been photographing Lacy since she was several months old and her sister since she was a baby as well. They always photograph beautifully, however, this session just seemed to top them all. I just love Lexi’s little pigtails. To me, they just make the picture! And Miss Lacy was so good on Friday and just did exactly what was asked and as a result we got some beautiful images. Take a look…

My personal favorite of the day is below. I just love everything about this one! 🙂

Don’t know why, but the below image just speaks to me. So lovely of her…

And, finally, the girls grandmother came along for the shoot as our helper for the day and so we ended up with a few “generational” shots. They weren’t planned ahead but I think they are coordinated and lovely! What a sweet, sweet family. Jennifer, thank you for sharing your family with me all these years. Hope you love these as much as I do! 🙂

Well, maybe not sitting so much! Joey much preferred to stand and hold onto something more than sit! 🙂 Do you remember this sweet baby face from last year?

Joey is just adorable! That dark hair and those dark eyes that sparkle! Love him! Joey is another of our Little Gifts Newborn Club babies and this was the 2nd of his shoots with us this year. He was so happy, but really didn’t like the dirt and cold grass. It was so cute. He really just wanted to sit in my chair (which thankfully I brought along-whew!), or with his beautiful Mommy, or stand holding onto said chair. Too cute.

This first image really was supposed to be of just Joey sitting on the bridge. Abby, his momma, was close by to grab him if needed. (Safety first, always!) My intention was to crop her out of the photo, but I just adore the sweet joy on her face watching her baby boy get his pictures made. I just had to include her, too! 🙂 And the one of them together? Notice the swan that joined the photo, too. Love that little detail.

Joey, you are a sweetheart, just like your Mom and Dad! And, your little crinkle-nose you make when you smile melts my heart. I had such fun with you. Enjoy! 🙂
