Allie is Sitting and Smiling!

Allie is growing up so quickly! She is a member of our Little Gifts Newborn Club and I haven’t seen her since her Newborn Session at several days old. She is now sitting confidently, has her own sweet little personality, and is definitely not short on the smiles! I am always excited to see what goodies Allie’s mom has picked out for her gorgeous girls to wear to their sessions. She has great taste with lots of bold colors and accessories…they always look so GREAT! This time, all four of the family members got in on the action for a few family pictures as well as Allie’s sitting shots. Happy 1st Birthday, Colleen!

Here she was, one year ago this past week:

And look at her now! Miss Colleen just turned One! I haven’t seen her since those first few days of her life. She has gotten so very big. And, she is SO smart! Talking so much for a just turned one-year-old! I love her sweet little dimples and sweet grin. It was great catching up with this sweet family and getting to love on the birthday girl. She was a trooper in the cold November temps. Happy birthday, sweet miss! 🙂

Sitting and Smiling and Sportin’ a Carhartt Cap!

You have to just fall in love with this one! Who doesn’t love a sweet baby boy? And, then add in one with big ol’ melt your heart eyes, a wobbly little sitter, and a little boy ball cap? Oh.my.word! Houston and Campbell…

It is always a bittersweet session when I do the final installment of a Little Gifts Newborn Club. Saturday, it was sweet Campbell’s turn for her “1 year” session. It’s so hard to believe that in a little more than a year, she has gone from this:

Sweet, sweet baby girl! Campbell shared this session with her very thoughtful big brother, Houston. I was so excited to see these two together. I have so enjoyed working with this wonderful family for the past four years. It is such a joy to share in these special memories. I hope you love what you see here, Bronwen and Alan. Tripp, Mary Kate and Family!

It seems like it was just yesterday that I was at this family’s home to photograph little Tripp at just a few days old. And, now he is sitting and smiling, and bringing along the entire family for a photo session! I can’t believe how big this little guy is getting! So sweet and fun. We captured some of him for his 6 month portraits, but also included his big sister, Mary Kate, too. And, Mom and Dad got in on the fun as well. I am so pleased with how great these turned out. I am just in love with these little ones’ eyes. They are absolutely STUNNING! Wow!! And, no wonder, look how gorgeous their mom and dad are! Thank you so much “G” family for another great session. Mini Sessions at Davies Manor!

Saturday was absolutely an amazingly beautiful fall day here and the perfect opportunity to complete our last Mini Session of 2011! We started out early in the morning and went straight through until lunch! I was blessed enough to have my sweet mom along as my helper this time and so enjoyed working with her!! And, as always, our 1:17 families came dressed to impress, with smiles and happy attitudes, and knocked these sessions out of the park! Hollis, Anders and Neely…

Oh, joy! Take a look at these sweet babies! Meet 3-year-old twins Hollis and Anders and their sweet baby sister, little 10-month-old Neely. I haven’t seen the twins in a couple of years and had never met little Neely, so it was such fun seeing them “all grown up” and meeting their sweet new addition. Three little ones ages 3 and under can sometimes be challenging, but these three sweet ones came along with plenty of helpers and lots of smiles! We made it work and I am thrilled with our results. Katie, Noah, Emily and Griffin…

Big families with lots of kids can be such fun! At times, they can be a real challenge for a photographer, but not this family! Not a bit! They arrived at the shoot dressed fabulously and ready to make things happen! I loved it! This sweet family are some “old” neighbors of ours, and we miss seeing them all the time. They’ve added the two babies to their family since we’ve lived close by, so it was a joy to spend time getting to know them as well as catching up with the big brother and sister I lived down the street from for years! All four are just GORGEOUS children, with great personalities and smiles to match. It was just a wonderful evening together. Thanks for sharing your family with me again, Brooke and Gary. Loved seeing all of them! And, if my vote counts, I think you need at least one more! You two make beautiful children! 😉 Enjoy your sneak peek!

Hutton is One!

I love this little boy and his family…ever since we met a little over a year ago at his first session with me at only a few days old! Now, he is a big boy at 16 months old and as adorable as can be! He is walking and talking a little bit and so very, very curious! He wasn’t missing a thing that morning, and I loved watching him explore his world. Craig, Sarah and Hutton: Thank you for sharing your first year with me. Hutton is just an amazing little guy, but I know you already know that! Enjoy this little sneak peek of his session! 🙂

16 children+65 clothing changes+4 hours shooting=

One AMAZING photo session! Yep, I counted! It was a total of 4 hours of craziness including sixteen precious and gorgeous children in over 65 changes of clothing! You haven’t lived until you’ve lived through one of these photo shoots! But, y’all, I have to admit, I had such a wonderful time. I was utterly exhausted that night, that’s true! But, I’d do it all over again tomorrow if I could! This shoot is for The Happy Heart, a speciality children’s clothing store located on the Arlington Town Square. This little place has such charm. And, the clothes…oh, those clothes! I gotta tell you that I was once again blown away at the wonderful choices these ladies have gathered for us to choose from this Fall. If you are looking for that special something for your children that is beautiful and out of the ordinary, look no further than The Happy Heart! You really need to go out and have them help you shop for your little guys and gals. They are so great in putting together groups of clothing that mesh but don’t match! There’s so many more that I can’t show here. This is just a taste. You need to go see for yourself! Now, GO!!! And tell them I sent you! 🙂

Like I said, it was awesome and I love this store! But, I think this last photo pretty much sums up all of us at the end of this shoot! hah! 🙂
