I know that they grow, and they do it quickly, but I couldn’t get over what a big boy Mr.Lucas is now! I photographed him back in early December as a newborn, and he still has his same “little old man” look that he had then. 🙂 This baby has some of the most beautiful skin, translucent almost…so gorgeous. He was so very interested in this new world around him…the textures, the sounds, everything but myself, Mom, Dad, Aunt, and Grandma who tried our best to make him think we were hilarious and make him smile! But, we did it! We managed to be just a little more interesting than the cars, grass, and textures of the old boards in the Arlington Town Square. Sweet baby boy! 🙂

I don’t know why, but I love this serious face!

Jonah is One!

June 9, 2012

Oh, how I love little boys!!! What is not to love about this image of sweet little Jonah, with his beloved “trac-ta”? Sweetness defined right there!

He just loves this little tractor so very much! So much so that it did make him smile, but also reach his little hands up, like so:

Which is adorable as well, just maybe not in every photo! 🙂 We had the best time wrangling this little charmer the other night for his one-year-old portraits. He is all boy and just wonderful! Loved all the fun antique props his mom brought along to incorporate into the session. Just makes the photos, in my opinion. Even big sister, who is 17 and about to be a Univ of Memphis Tiger in the Fall, came along to participate! Fun, fun night! Thanks for sharing your sweet children with me, Jen and Kenneth! Enjoy your sneak peek!

Sweet Camille…

June 7, 2012

There is not much cuter than a sweet little girl with little chunky legs and arms and a smile that lights up the place when she laughs! This is Miss Camille….what a sweetheart! She was the happiest little thing the other night at her portrait session, and at only 7.5 months old she had a lot to say to me! 🙂 I loved her constant babble! She really did seem intent on telling me something and grinned the entire time. What’s not to love, right? I so enjoyed meeting this sweet little girl. Enjoy your sneak peek!

Love this next dress and the special meaning behind it! The dress belongs to Camille’s mommy who wore it as a child. What a wonderful keepsake and family heirloom!

Hailey is One!

June 7, 2012

It seems like just yesterday that I drove out to little Hailey’s house for her Newborn session and she was no bigger than a minute! And now, here she is having just celebrated her first birthday…wow! Some of the prettiest blue eyes you’d ever want to see on a little one-year-old….loved the way her eyes just sparkled when she giggled and grinned for me. Sweet girl is growing up! What a fun night celebrating all things Hailey and capturing this moment in time for her family. Happy Birthday, little Hailey! 🙂

I can hardly believe that we’ve come to the end of another sweet Little Gifts Newborn Club member’s first year. I truly find it hard to fathom that one year ago this was Miss Allie at just a few days old:

And now, Miss Allie is walking and talking and just as GORGEOUS!!

I’ve been photographing Allie and big sister Nora for many years. This session was to celebrate Allie turning the big ONE and Nora turning FOUR! Wow! I just adore this precious family and have so enjoyed the extra time I’ve gotten to see them this past year. I do believe that despite Allie not feeling 100% at the session, that this is one of the best ones we’ve had yet. Thank you, thank you for sharing your girls with me year after year. What a blessing for me to watch them grow. Enjoy your sneak peek!

Sweet Emily is One!

May 11, 2012

Oh, happy baby…look at this gorgeous little lady! Miss Emily just turned one, and she is all smiles! And, wow, those beautiful dark eyes….swoon!! This sweet girl just made me happy this morning, and we had the best time. Her sweet mom and I could very likely have spent the entire day just talking. We got along great and are kindred spirits no doubt! I’m so excited to share her images with you. She’s just beautiful and I would’ve brought her home with me in an instant. Happy birthday, sweet Emily! 🙂

I just L.O.V.E this face!! 🙂

It’s so great to have the opportunity to meet new families. I’m always amazed at the adorable personalities that the children have and little Copper and sweet Conlee were no exception. They just LOVED their session with me, and at the end of it precious Copper announced that “This was the best night EVER!!” You gotta love a kid that thinks you gave him the best night of his life! Wahoo! 🙂 Loved these sweet children. Thank you for sharing them with me, and I hope that you enjoy your little sneak peek of their cuteness!

He just LOVES his sister…so sweet!

Wes and Jake…

April 30, 2012

I know! I say it all the time, but I truly believe it. I have the cutest and sweetest families to photograph. The 1:17 families are the BEST! And, to prove my point, meet 3-year-old Wes and 1-year-old Jake. Such adorable brothers who are all boy; but, unbelievably sweet and adorable. They give the best smiles and hugs!! Melt my heart with their cuteness! Thanks for sharing your boys with me again, Tori and Daniel. What little blessings they truly are! 🙂

First up, little charmer, Wes! He is Mr. Super-de-Dooper Superhero Man! hehe!

And my personal favorite one of Wes is next…so handsome!

And, for the little one, Jake! Complete with big blue eyes and sweet curls. Does it get any cuter? 🙂

And, finally a few family shots. Love this family!!

Hudson and Beckett…

April 23, 2012

I just adored this session! So MUCH FUN!! I’ve photographed each of these adorable little boys since their first newborn sessions and have grown to just love them! All boy, all cuteness with their wrinkled nose smiles, very charming and just sweet, sweet, sweet! We started out the day with some photographs of the boys together with one another and their parents as well as some of each. I had the HARDEST time picking my favorites from this entire session. Then we transitioned into a little mini Birthday Party for little Beckett who just turned one! I have so many hilarious and sweet shots from the cake smash. Just hard to resist! Thanks for sharing your family with me, Richard and Shannon! Always a joy! 🙂

When I grow up, I want to live in a house just like my friend Emily! 😉 What a joy it was for me to travel out to Covington earlier this week to photograph my friend (and fellow fabulous photographer!!), Emily and her family! Every time I go to Emily’s home I fall in love all over again! And, this was the first time I’d seen it with the added bonus of the stunning azaleas. Perfect backdrop to the white picket fence! But, what makes Emily’s home so wonderful is not just that it is stinkin’ adorable, decorated with the eye of a designer and charming in a way only an “older” home can be. What makes it beautiful, to me, is the family that lives inside of it! The joy they have in their hearts for our Lord and for one another shines through them and makes them just a joy to be around. I cannot say enough how grateful I am to have found a friend in this business that is so dear to my heart! Thank you, again, Emily and Zach, for having me into your lives for just a little bit. I hope these images will bring you smiles for years to come! They should, because these photos, for once, actually have Emily in front of the camera as wife and Mommy….not just the photographer behind it! Love y’all!!

Do you think they love each other just a little? (wink, wink!)

My favorite of the two kids:

The two girls…love, love, love!!

And, just because I was there and had photographed Georgia for her Newborn photos, we snagged a few “Sitting and Smiling” poses of this beautiful girl.

Thanks so much for a wonderful afternoon, Emily, Zach, Georgia and Jonah!
