I cannot think of a better way to start off 2012! Meet sweet Natalie! She was born right before Christmas of last year and her newborn session was such fun! She has the teeniest most precious petite little features! Absolutely a beautiful little girl! I so loved my time snuggling with her. She had a bit of a tough time getting started for this session, but luckily pulled it through like the princess that she is and did a beautiful job in the end! I love what we ended up capturing and hope that these photos will always be a treasure to her sweet family of her teeny-tiny-beautiful newborn self! Welcome to the world, gorgeous girl! π

Welcome, Natalie Grace!
January 5, 2012Welcome, Lucas!
December 1, 2011This was the most laid back family! So much fun to see first-time parents that are truly enthralled with their newest little gift. This little guy was absolutely PERFECT for his session. He barely made a peep throughout the entire thing and was a real champ. I so enjoyed meeting this family and am so happy for you all. Welcome to the world, little man! π
Welcome, Kerrigan!
December 1, 2011Yesterday, was the first full day of sunshine we have had here in several days and I was so happy to start my day with the bright sun! And, to add to the excitement, I was able to photograph two precious little newborns as well. First up was sweet little Kerrigan! At a little over two weeks old and almost nine pounds, this sweet baby girl was so good for her session. We started out with a few with new big sister, McKenna. Such beautiful girls and McKenna was already taken with her little sister. So sweet!
And, finally, sweet baby girl fell fast asleep. Yesterday, her favorite way to be was in her little Birthday suit! She was as happy as could be and let us pose and play with her as much as we wished. It was really funny. Who knew? Kerrigan, you have a great family. Welcome to the world, baby girl!
Welcome, Asher!
October 26, 2011Oh my, another precious little boy has arrived! I’ve been very busy lately, but haven’t photographed a newborn in several weeks. So, I was super excited to head over to capture 8-day-old Asher. It was a gorgeous fall day, and we took advantage of the lovely weather and captured several shots outdoors. I love going to a session when the family has ideas and thoughts of their own that they’d like to incorporate. I just think that having personal items to use makes the session so much more personal. Asher was the perfect little gentleman and I loved my time spent with this little treasure. π Enjoy!!
LOVED this idea of hollowing out a pumpkin! Perfect fall photo of a sweet little boy!
And, last but not least, Asher’s 4-month-old cousin, Fisher (also a 1:17 baby himself as a newborn) was at the house observing the excitement, so we couldn’t resist putting him into the basket with Asher for a “cousin photo”. Oh my word…Precious!!
Welcome, Cameron!
September 16, 2011Meet little Cameron and his big brother, Jack! If you’ve been following my work at all, you know that I normally only photograph newborns within the first 7-10 days after they are born. Little Cameron was one day shy of 1-month-old for his session yesterday. I could tell a real difference in how alert he was. However, he behaved so well and never cried once! He just gave us some sweet little eyes wide open photos that are adorable! Big brother Jack came along as well and loved playing in my backyard! He was a trooper and even let us stop him for just a few minutes so that he could participate in the session as well. These boys are so well loved and I can tell they have a family that adores them. Mom, and not one, but 2 grandmothers came along for the day. Now that is love! Welcome to the world, little Cameron! So glad to have you! π
Welcome, Ellie!
September 6, 2011Today was a beyond beautiful day! It was made even more beautiful with the joy of photographing sweet little six-day-old Ellie! Ellie was a DOLL throughout the entire session. She never cried, not even once! She is so very beautiful and I am so happy for this sweet family who have become my friends over the last 4+ years. I first met this sweet family when Emily, the beautiful mom, was pregnant with big brother Luke. I can hardly believe that it’s been 4 years since I was last at their home photographing Luke’s newborn session. Now, he is a VERY proud and loving big brother and was amazing during his part of the session with Ellie today. I am so honored to be asked to photograph this newest member of the family. Congratulations Steve, Emily and Luke…Ellie is perfect and a wonderful gift from God. I am SO happy for all of you! Enjoy your sneak peek! π
LOVE the way he is looking at his new sister!! Sweet Luke! π
Welcome, Brooke!
August 17, 2011Welcome to the world, little Brooke! You’ve are one blessed little girl. You’ve got a big brother that is full of energy and joy and love for you. (Not to mention is fantastically photogenic with a-maz-ing big, blue eyes!) And, two parents who think you are such a tremendous gift! I could see through my time with you the other day that they just love you so very much. And, you…oh, Brooke. You are so gorgeous and beautiful and have a wonderful world awaiting you.
I so enjoyed my time with this family the other day. Little 10-day-old Brooke was a joy and big brother, George, was so great for his part in the shoot, too. Enjoy! π
While little Brooke took a feeding break, I took the opportunity to snap a few of big brother….loooove!!
“I prayed for this child…”
August 12, 2011“And the Lord has granted me what I asked of him.” 1 Samuel 1:27. Meet Brantley, a little boy who definitely has been prayed over the first few weeks of his life. Brantley had a complication at birth with a tear in his lung and spent the first week of his life in the NICU. Definitely not the plan that his brothers and parents had in mind, but God was firmly in control. Brantley was prayed for and God healed him. If you look carefully at some of the photos, you can see the “scars” where procedures were done on his little chest. But, his Mom and I both agree that they are not to be photoshopped as they are just a reminder of the power of prayer! I had the privilege of photographing Brantley at 3 weeks old in his own home the other day with his two big brothers close by. What a precious and sweet gift from God this little guy is! So thankful for God’s goodness to this family and for the joy he is already bringing to their lives. Enjoy Brantley’s sneak peek! π Boy feet!! Love how Brantley’s little foot is just hanging up there! haha!
Welcome, Georgia Caroline!
July 10, 2011Sometimes God gives you unexpected little gifts in life and my friend, Emily, is one of those beautiful blessings! Emily is the owner/photographer of EPC Photography out in Covington, TN and has become such a wonderful friend to me in so many ways. She is one of those people who you just feel good being around. She has a wonderfully positive spirit and is such an encourager and, most importantly, has a love for the Lord that just shines through her! And…she just became a new mommy to little Miss Georgia! I was so humbled to be asked by Emily several months ago if I would photograph her little newborn session for her! I was so excited to meet the new daughter of Β Zach and Emily and new baby sister to my buddy, Jonah. Here’s a little peak into our day yesterday. Emily, thank you for having me into your gorgeous home and allowing me the honor of spending time with all of you. I hope you like what you see…no pressure, right?! π Love you all! Congratulations!!
I just love this one. It cracks me up because it looks like Jonah is giving her some very serious advice…and she is listening! π I will say that Georgia knew her big brother’s voice already and would open her little eyes every time that Jonah’s little voice was anywhere near her. So sweet!
Before I post anymore images, I need to tell you how very much I love Emily’s home…seriously L.O.V.E. So perfectly southern and charming and retro…white picket fence and front porch swing included….swooon! Perfect, perfect, perfect for the session with beautiful Georgia!
Emily…your sign here says it all, you are SO blessed! And, by Georgia’s sweet smile here…I think she already knows she is, too! π
And it’s a…
June 20, 2011BOY! I just did JenaBeth and Eric’s maternity pictures and boom! Their little baby boy decided to make his appearance only a few days later and 3 weeks before his due date. Meet Fisher David…all 6 pounds 1 oz at birth! This is one beautiful and sweet baby boy! He was so very good for our session on Saturday when he was only 3 days old. Oh, the sweetness of heaven right there. I just loved watching this Momma and Daddy with their new little gift from God and seeing how much he is already so very loved. I could go on and on, but there’s really no need for more words when this little guy is so adorable. Congratulations, JB and Eric! So happy for your new little family of 3! π
