I believe in miracles…always have!! And, this precious little boy is proof positive that our God is still a God of miracles. Meet little Holt, well, I say little but, really not so much. This lil dude joined our world at a whopping 10 pounds, 3 oz, and he is a chunk of love! He is the new little brother of my buddy, Knox, and beloved adopted son of our dear friends, David and Suzie. The details of the story are not as important as the end result. A precious little boy has found his forever home in the arms of a family who adores him! Those of us that know and love David and Suzie know that this has been the prayer of their hearts for years, and it is with such joy that I received this news days ago. It was such an honor to do a newborn photo session for Holt, as I had done one as well with Mr.Knox almost 5 years ago. Truly a joy!! “For this child, I have prayed and the LORD has granted what I have asked of Him.” 1 Samuel 1:27  Thank you, Lord, for your good and perfect gift to my friends!!

God love him, Sweet Holt decided he needed to be awake for the entire rest of our session! No problem, we just got lots of sweet eyes-wide-open looks! Love them, too!

Oh, how I love sweet little girls! Trick-or-treat happened yesterday…it was Halloween for this little Spook’s newborn photo session. And, without a doubt, she gave us all treats and no tricks. 🙂 Miller Kate was the perfect little angel for her session. We were all so proud of her, and she was soo good and patient with us as we changed her clothes and outfits multiple times-it’s just SO fun to play dress-up with a little girl! We started out the morning with a few family shots, including new big sister, Graycen! So happy for this wonderful family and I look forward to watching lil’ Miller Kate grow up! Congratulations “H” family and welcome to the world, sweet Miller Kate!

Newborn grin!!!

Sweet little pumpkin’!!

Sweet Abigail was welcomed into this precious family about 5 weeks ago over in Arkansas! I don’t usually photograph newborns after about 10 days after they are born; however, for this sweet little lady I was happy to make an exception! Abigail is a part of a family that is very special to me, so it was absolutely no problem to break my own rules for them! It was a different “newborn” shoot as she wasn’t as curled up and sleepy, but her little pudgy arms and legs and cheeks were so adorable. I also loved that she was awake for some of the shots as it made for some beautiful close-ups of her big eyes! Congratulations to David and Ashley and all of their extended families! Abigail Grace is a beautiful little girl, and I can’t wait to watch her grow up! 🙂

I think in this next picture she was just hanging out on a tree stump in her precious little camo gear, smiling as she was dreaming of getting her a deer!…right, Ashley and David? 🙂

Oh, this was a special one for me!! Meet precious little doll baby, Charley Rose! Isn’t she just beautiful? Charley is the daughter of someone very, very special to me. Years ago, 11 in fact, when my first baby was born I was still a 9-5 working woman at St.Mary’s Episcopal School here in Memphis. As any new momma is, I was extremely nervous about having to leave my baby with someone else. Through God’s perfect plan, He led me to find Charley’s momma, Janet. Janet took such amazing care of my Jackson for me and is very special to our family. We just adore her, and couldn’t be happier to see her in a role that I’ve known for years that she would be fabulous at!

We met at Cody and Janet’s home to photograph their 7-day-old little girl. I loved all the thought that went into her beautiful room…you can tell this little one has been prayed over and welcomed with such joy! I loved that Janet dressed her in a gown that she wore as a baby….what a thoughtful and smart Nana Charley has to keep these things. Also loved the photos we captured of Charley lying in Janet’s little doll bed from when she was a little girl. It’s those little bits of nostalgia that bring a session a special spark.

Love you so much and couldn’t be happier for you guys! Charley Rose is beautiful and such a perfect gift from God. Congratulations!
