Welcome, Summit!

January 17, 2012

One of the many joys of my work is to use my camera to capture the children of my sweet friends! This gorgeous little boy is the newborn son of our friends, Autumn and Robert, whom we have grown to love over the last few years! These two are absolutely ENTHRALLED with their new little boy, and it just makes my heart explode with happiness to see them so happy! We were able to photograph little Summit at his Aunt’s home the other day, and he was the perfect little boy. I was so proud! Autumn and Rob, you two are going to be the best parents and little Summit has been blessed by God to have you two as his very own. Congratulations and I hope you love your little sneak peek! Summit, love ya, little buddy! 🙂

This next one may very well be my new favorite newborn shot in quite awhile! A precious grin from Summit and spontaneous smile of love from Mom! LOVE!!!

Welcome, Natalie Grace!

January 5, 2012

I cannot think of a better way to start off 2012! Meet sweet Natalie! She was born right before Christmas of last year and her newborn session was such fun! She has the teeniest most precious petite little features! Absolutely a beautiful little girl! I so loved my time snuggling with her. She had a bit of a tough time getting started for this session, but luckily pulled it through like the princess that she is and did a beautiful job in the end! I love what we ended up capturing and hope that these photos will always be a treasure to her sweet family of her teeny-tiny-beautiful newborn self! Welcome to the world, gorgeous girl! 🙂

Welcome, Lucas!

This was the most laid back family! So much fun to see first-time parents that are truly enthralled with their newest little gift. This little guy was absolutely PERFECT for his session. He barely made a peep throughout the entire thing and was a real champ. I so enjoyed meeting this family and am so happy for you all. Welcome to the world, little man! 🙂

Welcome, Kerrigan!

December 1, 2011

Yesterday, was the first full day of sunshine we have had here in several days and I was so happy to start my day with the bright sun! And, to add to the excitement, I was able to photograph two precious little newborns as well. First up was sweet little Kerrigan! At a little over two weeks old and almost nine pounds, this sweet baby girl was so good for her session. We started out with a few with new big sister, McKenna. Such beautiful girls and McKenna was already taken with her little sister. So sweet!

And, finally, sweet baby girl fell fast asleep. Yesterday, her favorite way to be was in her little Birthday suit! She was as happy as could be and let us pose and play with her as much as we wished. It was really funny. Who knew? Kerrigan, you have a great family. Welcome to the world, baby girl!

“Sisters, Sisters”…

November 14, 2011

It’s almost Christmas time and when thinking of titles for this blog post about two sisters and their families, I immediately thought of that song from the movie “White Christmas” entitled “Sisters”! Love that song as it makes me smile! Just like these two families make me smile, too. I had the pleasure of photographing two sisters and their families this weekend at their parents fantastic home! Seriously a photographer’s dream. And it didn’t hurt that the families were just sweet, charming and gorgeous! First up for the day was my first time to photograph little 8-month-old Sophie! So petite and dainty and stinkin’ adorable. I loved her sweet smile! And, add in her beautiful mom and dad and you get magic! 🙂

And once I finished with the first gorgeous family, the second beautiful family arrived with Sophie’s cousins Kaitlyn and A.J. We quickly snapped a few of the three cousins together. It’s pretty amazing that these two little baby cousins are only 2.5 weeks apart! Love it! 🙂

I last photographed Kaitlyn and A.J. when little A.J. was a newborn. I cannot believe what a big boy he has become! I just love this fun family and always enjoy spending time with them. I love the colors in their photos and am so very happy with the results. Love!! 🙂

Oh my goodness! I LOVE THIS SESSION! These boys are sooo funny and just a joy to be around. These are the sons of my dear friends, Brian and Laura, and I just adore these little hams. They are all boy…rambunctious, moving around, making silly faces, laughing at “those” words…all boy! But, there’s just something so charming and adorable about their personalities that make you just want to hang out with them all day long. I cannot imagine the amount of laughter that must happen on a daily basis at their home because of their little jokes. Just love it! I dare you not to smile as you look at these. And, just remember, these are just a small taste of all the fun faces and “poses” their momma gets to choose from. LOVE!! 🙂

Welcome, Asher!

October 26, 2011

Oh my, another precious little boy has arrived! I’ve been very busy lately, but haven’t photographed a newborn in several weeks. So, I was super excited to head over to capture 8-day-old Asher. It was a gorgeous fall day, and we took advantage of the lovely weather and captured several shots outdoors. I love going to a session when the family has ideas and thoughts of their own that they’d like to incorporate. I just think that having personal items to use makes the session so much more personal. Asher was the perfect little gentleman and I loved my time spent with this little treasure. 🙂 Enjoy!!

LOVED this idea of hollowing out a pumpkin! Perfect fall photo of a sweet little boy!

And, last but not least, Asher’s 4-month-old cousin, Fisher (also a 1:17 baby himself as a newborn) was at the house observing the excitement, so we couldn’t resist putting him into the basket with Asher for a “cousin photo”. Oh my word…Precious!!

Welcome, Ellie!

September 6, 2011

Today was a beyond beautiful day! It was made even more beautiful with the joy of photographing sweet little six-day-old Ellie! Ellie was a DOLL throughout the entire session. She never cried, not even once! She is so very beautiful and I am so happy for this sweet family who have become my friends over the last 4+ years. I first met this sweet family when Emily, the beautiful mom, was pregnant with big brother Luke. I can hardly believe that it’s been 4 years since I was last at their home photographing Luke’s newborn session. Now, he is a VERY proud and loving big brother and was amazing during his part of the session with Ellie today. I am so honored to be asked to photograph this newest member of the family. Congratulations Steve, Emily and Luke…Ellie is perfect and a wonderful gift from God. I am SO happy for all of you! Enjoy your sneak peek! 🙂

LOVE the way he is looking at his new sister!! Sweet Luke! 🙂

Welcome, Brooke!

August 17, 2011

Welcome to the world, little Brooke! You’ve are one blessed little girl. You’ve got a big brother that is full of energy and joy and love for you. (Not to mention is fantastically photogenic with a-maz-ing big, blue eyes!) And, two parents who think you are such a tremendous gift! I could see through my time with you the other day that they just love you so very much. And, you…oh, Brooke. You are so gorgeous and beautiful and have a wonderful world awaiting you.

I so enjoyed my time with this family the other day. Little 10-day-old Brooke was a joy and big brother, George, was so great for his part in the shoot, too. Enjoy! 🙂

While little Brooke took a feeding break, I took the opportunity to snap a few of big brother….loooove!!

Beautiful Brooke…

“And the Lord has granted me what I asked of him.” 1 Samuel 1:27. Meet Brantley, a little boy who definitely has been prayed over the first few weeks of his life. Brantley had a complication at birth with a tear in his lung and spent the first week of his life in the NICU. Definitely not the plan that his brothers and parents had in mind, but God was firmly in control. Brantley was prayed for and God healed him. If you look carefully at some of the photos, you can see the “scars” where procedures were done on his little chest. But, his Mom and I both agree that they are not to be photoshopped as they are just a reminder of the power of prayer! I had the privilege of photographing Brantley at 3 weeks old in his own home the other day with his two big brothers close by. What a precious and sweet gift from God this little guy is! So thankful for God’s goodness to this family and for the joy he is already bringing to their lives. Enjoy Brantley’s sneak peek! 🙂 Boy feet!! Love how Brantley’s little foot is just hanging up there! haha!
