Welcome, Hunter!

April 27, 2012

What a sweet family! Welcome little Hunter! I so enjoyed spending time with this family the other day with a precious little boy who shares the same birthday as my son! Turns out they live right around the corner from me so I am hopeful that I’ll get to see this little bundle of cuteness as he grows. He was truly such a “pretty” baby and loved to be snuggled and held tight! So, naturally, I was able to get in some snuggle time for myself…best part of my job-hands down! Even big sister, Anslee, got in on some of our session. She is just gorgeous and we got along great! Such a sweet little girl and, she behaved so well to be not even two years old yet! It’s rare to see a sibling this little with a new little one in the home to be so good and well adjusted! Just a great day with a great family! Congratulations!!

First up, handsome little Hunter!

How cute is she?

Welcome, Benjamin!

April 20, 2012

Oh, the joy of a new little boy! Meet sweet little Benjamin, precious son of Sadhana and Joseph! I fell in love with this precious little family and their first born child! They have the biggest hearts and a warmth that just pulls you in. Their joy and love for their new little gift was just infectious. So privileged and honored to do what I do every day. So very happy for you, my new friends, on this precious gift you have been given. Thank you for sharing him with me. Enjoy your sneak peek! 🙂

When I grow up, I want to live in a house just like my friend Emily! 😉 What a joy it was for me to travel out to Covington earlier this week to photograph my friend (and fellow fabulous photographer!!), Emily and her family! Every time I go to Emily’s home I fall in love all over again! And, this was the first time I’d seen it with the added bonus of the stunning azaleas. Perfect backdrop to the white picket fence! But, what makes Emily’s home so wonderful is not just that it is stinkin’ adorable, decorated with the eye of a designer and charming in a way only an “older” home can be. What makes it beautiful, to me, is the family that lives inside of it! The joy they have in their hearts for our Lord and for one another shines through them and makes them just a joy to be around. I cannot say enough how grateful I am to have found a friend in this business that is so dear to my heart! Thank you, again, Emily and Zach, for having me into your lives for just a little bit. I hope these images will bring you smiles for years to come! They should, because these photos, for once, actually have Emily in front of the camera as wife and Mommy….not just the photographer behind it! Love y’all!!

Do you think they love each other just a little? (wink, wink!)

My favorite of the two kids:

The two girls…love, love, love!!

And, just because I was there and had photographed Georgia for her Newborn photos, we snagged a few “Sitting and Smiling” poses of this beautiful girl.

Thanks so much for a wonderful afternoon, Emily, Zach, Georgia and Jonah!

Welcome, Finley Jane!

March 22, 2012

Oh, sweet baby girls! I have had an abundance of newborns lately and lovin’ every session! I couldn’t wait to meet Miss Finley as I’ve been “watching her grow” inside her Mommy’s belly each week at church. Little Finley is the youngest of four children and is already so very cherished and loved by her family. She was simply PERFECT at her photo session earlier this week….I couldn’t have asked it to be any better! Congratulations, sweet “L” family!! I am so happy for you all! Enjoy your sneak peek! 🙂

This first one is of Finley lying across a chest in her room that was built by her Great-Grandfather on her Mother’s side. I adore utilizing items in a client’s home that are special to them. Makes it so much more personal and unique that way!

Finley is named after her Great-Grandfather on her Father’s side. The photo below shows Finley with her namesake looking over her. So precious!

Welcome, Cooper!

March 6, 2012

Oh, what sweetness!!! Cooper is our newest member of Little Gifts Newborn Club so we will be seeing a lot of his adorable little face over the next year! Aren’t we lucky? 🙂 Little Cooper was almost 10 pounds at birth, so his little baby cuteness factor is just off the charts with his chubby little cheeks, arms, and legs. I just love it! He was such a good boy for his session yesterday. Take a little look at Cooper. Congratulations, “H” family! I am so happy for you guys! 🙂

Welcome, Daniel!

February 7, 2012

Sweet little Daniel has joined this precious family and now these two proud parents have three handsome sons and one beautiful little girl! Following in the footsteps of previous photo sessions of her first three children, Daniel’s mom requested that we mostly do black and white photographs on a black backdrop so that they would match. It was fun to do something different than my “normal” newborn session and took me back to my early days of my photography career when I used this backdrop for almost every indoor session that I did. Daniel is gorgeous and his siblings were SO good for their photos with him. I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon with you guys. Congratulations on your precious baby boy! I’m so happy for you all! 🙂

Welcome, Lilly and Joseph!

January 30, 2012

WOW! Ya’ll are going to love this one. I am quite sure of it! This is the stuff that dreams are made from and tangible proof that God answers our prayers! 🙂

One month ago, this sweet family was a family of two, a precious married couple longing to fill their home with children. Fast forward one month, and you’ve got an instant family of 4 through the power of prayer and the miracle of adoption! Meet Lilly, age 4 and Joseph, only about 3 weeks “new”! Aren’t they just absolutely beautiful? These two adorable children are not only instant brother and sister, but also sweet son and daughter to Scotty and Allison. First Lilly came home to live with Scotty and Allison, and then a couple of weeks later, little Joseph was born and he made his journey home, too. There’s much to both of their stories of how each one came to be a part of Scotty and Allison’s lives; however, I don’t really think that is as important as the stories they have yet to be written. Stories of a beautiful God-given family that has only just begun.

I love the joy in Lilly’s face in all of these photos! Such happiness! And, look at Mr. Joseph! Not quite three-weeks-old and he was bright-eyed, alert, and holding his head up more than almost any newborn I have ever photographed. It was such a joy to be with this family and capture their first few days together. Scotty and Allison, your family is simply perfect. Congratulations! 🙂

Lovely Miss little Lilly…

The new brother and sister…

And, baby boy Joseph!

Welcome, Mary Frances!

January 24, 2012

Oh, precious little baby girls! This was such a fun photo session. Mary Frances is the first grandchild on both sides of her family….lucky little girl! 🙂 She had quite the audience to watch her session yesterday: her Mommy, her Daddy, two Grandmothers and one aunt! I loved it! We all had such a good time together enjoying this sweet little baby girl. I can’t help but to get excited and share in the joy when it is literally tangible in the home. Before she was born, no one knew if Mary Frances was going to be a boy or a girl, so I was really impressed with the amount of “girly” things that they accumulated within four days! I can only imagine how this stack will grow as she does. Claudia and William, your daughter is just beautiful. I am so very happy for you both and for your families! What a tremendous blessing….congratulations!

Welcome, Ingrid Mae!

January 20, 2012

Tis the season for newborns! It’s been a wonderful last few weeks filled with lots of sweetness. This week, little Ingrid’s turn! This little girl is already full of surprises and fun! The day that I was there, she was obviously dreaming about something just amazing because the dream was vivid enough for her that her eyes kept opening and she smiled away…all while sound asleep. It was so fun to watch! 🙂 And, I, of course, loved the opportunity to capture some adorable little newborn smiles. LOVE!

Oh, how I love it when a newborn focuses right on my camera with their eyes wide open! Isn’t she just beautiful?

This sweet family is going to be busy the next few years! 🙂 Ingrid’s big brother just turned 18-months-old, and is just as gorgeous as his new little sister.

Finally, a couple of family shots. Needless to say, trying to get a 5-day-old and an 18-month-old to cooperate at a portrait session is a bit challenging. But, I love our results. First a black and white. I love the expressions on the kids’ faces. It is like she is already enthralled with her brother! 🙂

Megan and Tim, your family is just adorable. So happy for you! Congratulations!

Welcome, Maryn!

January 17, 2012

Oh my! Newborn goodness! Meet Miss Maryn! Precious and teeny and such a good little model! She could not have been any better for her session. She was only about 5-days-old at her session and I know that her parents are going to cherish her “newness” in the photographs in the years to come. There’s only so long that they are so new and fresh and tiny. Maryn is beautiful! I was honored to be asked to capture her for you, Paul and Angie! I know you are so very proud of your beautiful daughter. Congratulations and enjoy every second with your new little girl! 🙂
