Now, y’all know how very much I love photographing sisters!! 🙂 I had another amazing opportunity to photograph another set of beautiful sisters and their parents at the Arlington Town Square the other night. Sweet Sarah and Emma were just amazing to shoot…beautiful smiles, great clothing choices (go Mom…LOVE the boots!), and lots of laughter. The laughter part was mostly in thanks to Dad, please note example photo below:

Hahahha!! I just LOVE it when families show up ready to have fun and enjoy the session. This is what it is all about. Making memories and capturing our families as they are. Thank you for sharing your sweet girls and family with me, “A” family. You guys were just great and I loved meeting you. Enjoy your sneak peek! So, so many more to come. Seriously, these girls cannot take a bad photo! 🙂

Meet my friends Mel and Ginger and their three precious girls! I’ve been friends with this Mom, Ginger, for almost as long as I can remember. She and I grew up at different schools, but we went to church together for almost our entire lives, still to this day! Ginger and I have always been the kind of friends that can pickup right where we left off. I love her dearly, and was so thrilled to get to photograph her with her beautiful daughters and her fun hubby, Mel. Seriously, this group didn’t know how to take a bad photo. Beautiful, every last one of them-not only on the outside, but on the inside, too! Love you so much “V” family!! Enjoy! 🙂

And, to round out the evening, a few of Miss Joy by herself, wearing the same beautiful white dress her sweet big sisters wore at this same age. Gotta love these!! 🙂

Graham is One!!

March 2, 2012

My sweet, sweet little nephew turned one in late January! Jodie and I finally found a free day for us to meet up and photograph this milestone in little Graham’s life. At least that’s what we thought we were going to do. Actually, we instead saw a bunch of this…

And this…

Haha!! This is one very B.U.S.Y. little guy!! 🙂 But, he is just ooooohhh so very sweet and lovable and gives the best little hugs and grins…when you can catch him! So in between a lot of photographs that looked much like those first two, we managed to capture some magic and a wonderful glimpse into Graham at 13 months old! Love how big he looks, but it kinda breaks my heart, too! He’s so little right now, but those sweet little curls and long eyelashes remind me of a little boy that lives in my household that is almost 11! I swear it was just yesterday that it was him that was this age! Aunt Julie loves you Grahammers! Happy Birthday!

Too cute not to share!

As a photographer, there’s always a few things that can make you a little anxious about a photo session. Getting notice that you have an evening with a family of five children ages 6 and under can definitely cause a little heart flutter! 🙂 But, when I read the next line that the session was with one of my favorite 1:17 families, all those worries went away. Meet Beth and John and their simply precious family. John is a pastor in Memphis at a local church, and he and his sweet wife, Beth have adopted all 5 of these adorable children. I first photographed them when their oldest was barely a year old…and now here they are with an entire house FULL of joy! 🙂 Their story is such a beautiful one and a true picture of God’s grace and of His love for us. I just ADORE them! These photos were not originally posted last Fall when we took them because they were intended for the family’s Christmas card. John, Beth and I were beyond thrilled with how wonderful the children were that evening and we all just fell in love with this session! So happy to share this family with you! Enjoy! 🙂

Jodie and her family!

I’m playing a bit of “catch-up” today and wanted to blog a couple of families that didn’t get posted last Fall when I photographed them. First up, is my fabulous assistant and beautiful sister-in-law’s family…Jodie! Jodie and my “little” brother, Jeff, had their first family portrait taken by me since their oldest was six-months-old…she is now six! 🙂 These weren’t posted earlier becuase they were to be a fun Christmas surprise for the Grandparents. I love this family so very much! Happy to finally share their cutenss and love! Here’s Jeff, Jodie, Kinley, Kallen and little Graham!

Look at this big guy! He has gone from this:

To this in just a matter of a few short months! I know if it is happening fast to me it must be moving at lightning speed for his Mom and Dad!

One of the great things about working with a family for several years is that we learn to trust one another. When Brooks’ mom asked me if I’d be willing to do his Sit ‘n’ Smile session outdoors in January, I must admit that I was a little worried. But, at the same time I knew that his Mom would show up in something perfect for the season and absolutely adorable. And, thanks to some unseasonably warmer weather this January, the temperatures weren’t nearly as bad as they could have been. Still quite chilly and windy, but not intolerable. Brooks and big brother, Cohen, did an awesome job toughing it out in the cold winter day and rocked their session. I just love this family and hope that they are as pleased with our winter results as I was! 🙂 Enjoy!

And, my favorite shot of the day! Just love these little giggle grins!

If you were in Memphis this past weekend, you will know what I am talking about when I mention the CRAZY winds we had all weekend long. These winds were so strong and gusty! I had this session planned for months with my next door neighbor and good friend, Kim, and wasn’t about to let some wind get in my way. Wind can be quite a challenge when four of the six people you are photographing have beautiful long hair! 🙂  But…We did it! We somehow managed to hide out among the buildings in the Arlington Town Square, and captured some awesome photos of this great family! Believe it or not, I had a really tough time picking which ones to blog there are so many great ones. I am so blessed to have such great neighbors! Take a look at this amazing family…

Wow! What an exciting time for my sweet friends Katie and Jeremy! They just welcomed their fourth child, little Beau, into their family just about two weeks ago. I have had the joy of photographing Katie’s first two children on their 2-year-old birthdays in their little white outfits. This year, it was Mr.Hampton’s turn.

So after we finished up with little Hamp, we made our best attempt at a new family photo! I just love this family so much and couldn’t be happier for them. Congratulations to all of you! I just know there are so many fun memories to be made with your fun family of four! 🙂

When I was a little girl, I remember at family functions my Grandmother would pause and look around the room at our big family. She would then look over at my Grandfather and say something along the lines of “Honey, will you look at what we have done?” She was so proud of all of us and she loved that it all started just because her and my grandfather fell in love. I couldn’t help but to think of that when I was photographing this family last week. All because these two right here fell in love:

All of this happened! I know that they are so VERY proud of their family!

I had such a wonderful time hanging out with all of them. You’ll probably recognize my little friends Matthew and Lainey and their awesome parents. I so enjoyed getting to meet the rest of the “T” family the other night. Truly some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. They just laughed and had fun together! Can’t ask for anything more than that. I hope you all love your little sneak peak. So many more great ones to come! 🙂

A few with the entire bunch:

Mothers and Daughters…

Kayleigh and Jackson…

And, my sweeties Matthew and Lainey…

Such a lovely family…have I said that yet? 🙂 Thanks, y’all!

Lovely Little Lacy and Lexi!

October 26, 2011

Look at these two precious little sisters! They are long-time and faithful customers of mine, and even though I see them more often than not, I still cannot believe how big they are getting. We had ALOT of laughs yesterday, and I loved my time spent with them. Little Lexi just turned 2 years old, and the majority of the session was focused on her 2-yr-old pictures, but we did change toward the end and grabbed a few with big sister, Lacy. Thanks, as always for the fun morning little ones! 🙂

My favorite of the day! Just pure fun and love, right there! 🙂
