Alexis, Class of 2014

April 28, 2014

I had the extreme honor of photographing this warrior last week on the campus of St.Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Meet Alexis, a senior from Southaven, Mississippi. Alexis is only a teenager, but has lived and survived through horrors that most of us cannot imagine. This fighter has come back from fighting ovarian cancer that was discovered when she was 16. She has fought HARD the last year and a half, and come out on top! Alexis specifically wanted to do her Senior Portraits on the campus of the hospital that has literally helped save her life. I just LOVE that! She is now cancer free and heading to Mississippi State in the fall after she graduates with honors in May! Now, that is AWESOME!!! Way to go, Alexis! And, congratulations!! I’m so happy for you!ย AlexisSeniorPortrait34

Loved how she called Danny Thomas, founder of the hospital, “her” Danny! ๐Ÿ™‚ Please consider making a donation to St.Jude and help other kids like Alexis have a ย fighting chance. It’s pretty amazing that no child or family is ever charged for care while at St.Jude. Emma, Class of 2014

April 22, 2014

This is beautiful Emma! Isn’t she just absolutely gorgeous with those big brown sparkling eyes? Our family become friends with their family through our boys who are friends. Sadly, this amazing family is military and they will be leaving Tennessee soon to move “back home” to Missouri. I am so happy for them; but, we will miss them so much. Emma is graduating from Arlington High in just a few short weeks and will be starting her new life in college at Mizzou in the fall. It has been a joy to get to know these wonderful people. Emma, I wish you all the best in college. The best is yet to come! Enjoy every moment. I hope you love your little sneak peek. So. Many. More to come! ๐Ÿ™‚ Congratulations!ย

Courtney, Class of 2014

December 5, 2013

This was FUN!! Meet sweet Courtney, my “almost” family member! ha! Courtney is the niece of my brother-in-law and sister, and I’ve known her pretty much her entire life! Courtney actually lives way down in south Mississippi, but was here in Memphis last weekend for the Thanksgiving holidays. So, instead of heading out Friday morning with the rest of the crazy crowds for Black Friday madness, we instead met up at the Arlington Town Square for a portrait session and then a little shopping in downtown Arlington Town Square. Much better plan! Courtney is a beautiful, strong young lady and a true survivor! I ‘m so proud of who she is and how she has fought back after a long illness last year. Courtney, you are absolutely BEAUTIFUL-both inside and out!!! Congratulations on finishing up high school. The best is yet to come for you, sweet girl! Can’t wait to see where life leads you! ๐Ÿ™‚

Weston, Class of 2014…

November 12, 2013

Weston is a great guy and I so enjoyed spending a few quick minutes with him last week photographing him for his senior portraits. His very smart Mother asked me if we could just do a Mini Session for him, because let’s face it, he’s a guy and guys really aren’t so crazy about photo sessions. ๐Ÿ™‚ So, we did this quick and fast and hopefully for Weston-relatively painless! Congratulations on your Senior Year, Weston! Only greater things lie ahead for youโ€ฆI’m sure of it!

Ian, AHS Class of 2014…

September 17, 2013

What an exciting time of life! Ian is a Senior, and his last year of high school is flying by quickly! We had a great time meeting up last night, and he brought along his entire family, which was great because they helped provide lots of entertainment and laughter. Plus, little sister, Peyton even jumped in on a few shots, too. Soo glad that she did because they are such a cute sibling pair. ๐Ÿ™‚ Ian plans to attend the University of Memphis next fall, which, of course, I think is AWESOME! Go Tigers Go!! Congratulations to you, Ian! May God always protect your path and guide your footsteps!ย

Matt and Lacey…

June 21, 2013

Oh, how I adore this family! For those of you who do not know, I used to teach school before I was a photographer. Years ago, at Bartlett Elementary I was a young and scared new teacher. There were so many kind ladies there who took me under their wings, taught me the ropes, and whom I was privileged to call my friends. One such friend was Matt and Lacey’s mom, Lee. Even though I’ve not been at that school in many years, Lee and I have remained friends. It was such an honor for her to contact me and ask me to photograph some milestone events for her two children. For Matt, these are his senior portraits and for Lacey, she just turned 13! These are AMAZING kids!! Matt, who is about to start his senior year at Arlington High School, is awesome. He plays on the football team, takes honors classes, an Eagle scout, and dreams of attending University of Alabama next year! He and his Dad spent six years rebuilding his car(pictures below). That car is sooo cool! And, Miss Lacey, is just a stunner. She has such a sweet smile, and is obviously the one in the family who can easily make everyone laugh. This brother/sister duo is one that I hope my two children can be like in the future. I am so proud of these children, and very proud of my friends Lee and Bruce. They’ve done an awesome job in raising up two amazing children. Matt and Lacey, thanks for making my night so much fun. Enjoy your sneak peek! Soooo many more to come!ย  Untitled-1 Untitled-2

Stephanie, Class of 2013…

September 28, 2012

You know that a session went very, very well when the first shot of the night looks like this:

And, the last moment my camera caught of beautiful Stephanie looked like this!

Meet the absolutely gorgeous and stunning Stephanie! We had the best time last night just laughing together and talking. I love, love, love that she brought along her entire family to the session, including their adorable little dog! It was very clear to me that this is a tight knit group that loves being together and laughing together. Stephanie has the best laugh and smile and her eyes are just to die for gorgeous! It was my honor and joy to photograph her for her senior portraits. I know that this sweet girl will go far in her life; and, what a privilege to capture her just as she is right now. Right on the edge of life beginning anew. Thanks, “M” family, for a great night. I know you are so very proud of Stephanie…I can see why! ๐Ÿ™‚ Enjoy your sneak peek. Sooo many more to come and I can’t wait for you to see them all! ๐Ÿ™‚

Chandler’s Senior Pics!

September 23, 2011

This handsome young man is my neighbor, Chandler! When we first moved into our house a little over three years ago, Chandler was just starting high school. Now, here he is well into his senior year of high school! He is a wonderful young man and I know that his parents are so proud of who he is becoming. He wants to go into Pre-Pharm next year in college! Chandler, his amazing and fun momma, Dena, and I had a beautiful afternoon to do his portraits over at Davies Manor. I had a great time hanging out with them. Dena and Brian, Chandler is an amazing young man. I know you are so very proud of him! I hope you enjoy this little sneak peek! ๐Ÿ™‚

It was such a joy to meet up this past weekend with David on the campus of MUS to capture him on the grounds of the school he has attended since 7th grade! He just graduated just days ago from MUS and is just beginning the “rest” of his life! He has been on the honor roll at MUS every semester, and has been admitted to the Ole Miss Early Entry Pharmacy School program for this fall. David was funny and fun to be around! He is an Eagle Scout and plays football and baseball. Just a great young man! So honored to be asked to capture this moment in time for him. Congratulations, David! ๐Ÿ™‚

Beautiful Amber!

April 5, 2011

Amber is a beautiful young lady, both inside and out! I was so honored to have some time with Amber and her mom this weekend to photograph her for her Senior Portraits! We met up at the Botanic Gardens and the beautiful day was a bit windy; however, Miss Amber rocked it and we ended up with some fabulous shots of her. Amber is planning on going into the mission field someday, specifically to work in orphanages in Guatemala. I love it! God has His hand on this young lady’s life and I am so excited to see where He leads her. Amber, you are so sweet and beautiful; and, it is such a joy to know you. I look forward to seeing all that you become! Congratulations!! ๐Ÿ™‚
