Sweet Eleanor…

June 15, 2010

I was so excited to meet Eleanor. We have alot of connections and it was my first time to meet this little one. To simplify the connection, I guess the easiest way to say it is that she is the niece of my college roommate! Eleanor came to the session all decked out in an adorable little smocked outfit that her talented Mommy made just for the session. She was looking great! Eleanor’s biggest smiles that night came for her Daddy. How is it that every little girl loves her Daddy? 🙂 I know I sure do love mine. Eleanor, you did a great job at your first session and made some beautiful portraits for your wonderful parents! Thanks for a great night! 🙂

Meet Mary Kate! Sweet girl…she did so good at her photo session! You never would’ve known she had five of us staring at her and jumping up and down and acting a fool! We had such fun last week at a gorgeous backyard in Germantown of a family friend. It had so many little areas that were just perfect for photographs. I love her smile! And her little crinkled nose when she giggles. And have you ever seen such sparkle in a little girl’s eyes before? Just stunning! I so enjoyed hanging with all you ladies last week and working together to capture some beautiful photographs of a beautiful little girl and a few with her beautiful momma, too! Thanks so much and I hope you enjoy your little sneak peek. Lots more great ones to come!

And these eyes! And this little grin! Oh my! I met up with Chase and his awesome parents last week at a location that I had not shot at all this spring. I was super excited to get back to a place I love to photograph and loved working with this adorable family. Chase is beyond adorable. He just sat there in all that baby cuteness and smiled as we entertained him. Chase is, in my opinion, at the perfect “photograph-able” age (is that a word?!). He is sitting up very comfortably on his own but not yet crawling or walking. 🙂 I loved seeing how much Chase’s Mommy and Daddy loved him…so endearing. Chase, besides being just too precious, you are very blessed to have such a wonderful Mommy and Daddy who love you so much. I hope you guys enjoy your sneak peek…I had a hard time choosing just a few! Enjoy!

Tatum and Eli…

June 8, 2010

Last week was a very busy one for me; but, I loved it all! I started out the week shooting some One Year photos for sweet little Tatum. And…lucky for me, big brother Eli came along for some shoots, too. These are such beautiful children and so sweet. It was really, really hot that night and the bugs were out in full force going after these two…my opinion is that they are just so sweet that the bugs just couldn’t resist! Happy Birthday to you, Miss Tatum!! Aren’t you the lucky one to have this handsome guy around for the rest of your life looking out for you and sharing life together! 😉

3,2,1…GO!!

June 4, 2010

What do you get when you try to photograph three amazingly cute little brothers? Did I mention that for just one week (due to birthdays) these brothers are ages 1 year, 2 years, and 3 years? Well what you usually get, to be honest, is whole lot of this:

However, {and might I glad that I am so happy for the “howevers” in life!!} if you add in a Momma and a Daddy with lots of patience, cool dance moves, and a bag full of tricks for smile-makers as well as a photographer is works real quick…you end up with some real “keepers”! Happy Birthday to all of you precious boys: Gage, Cooper, and Chance! Ya’ll are awesome!!

And my personal favorite of the night….

Cole & Ella

June 4, 2010

I love getting to watch my customers as they grow! It is so fun to see how much they change; and yet, still stay the same! I have photographed Ella for several years and last year we added little brother Cole into the mix. These two are just adorable and we had such fun playing at the Botanic Gardens together. I hope to have the opportunity to continue to watch you both grow. You are so cute now, just cannot imagine your getting much cuter..but I bet you will! 🙂

Sweet Friends…

June 2, 2010

One of my greatest pleasures in my business is when I have the opportunity to photograph my personal friends and family. Last week, I had the honor of photographing some great friends of ours from church along with their three gorgeous children. It was a special night as the dad, Jason, and their oldest daughter, Morgan, were leaving later that night for Guatemala on a mission trip with our church. Little did we all know what the next few days in Guatemala would bring…volcanoes, a tropical storm, mudslides. Let’s just say it was alot more than we all imagined. But, God is so good and their trip has been a success. Even with volcanoes and tremendous amounts of rain, the team there which includes Jason and Morgan, were able to build 18 houses and run a Vacation Bible School for the children. I can’t wait to hear all about it! We are all very grateful for God’s protection on them and the good He was able to do through their service. We are prayerful and hopeful for their safe return sometime on June 3rd!

Now, onto the thing you came to see…the pictures! Aren’t they a lovely family! 🙂 Thanks for asking me to photograph you all. I had a great time!

Everybody give a hug! Love this!

Breanna…age 4!

May 27, 2010

I’m just loving 4 year olds these days! I met Miss Bree and her awesome Momma at the Botanic Garden’s “My Big Backyard” for a fun photo shoot on Saturday. I have so enjoyed watching little Breanna grow up before my camera, having first photographed her 3 years ago. This young lady will absolutely capture your heart with her smile and her spirit. She has such a sparkling personality that just draws in everyone around her. I love, love working with her! Karin, I know you are proud of her as well you should be. You’ve raised a beautiful little girl…inside and out! It is an honor to know you two! 🙂

Anna and Mia

May 27, 2010

Two beautiful sisters. One with personality to share that just oozes out of her. The other sweet and shy. One of the joys of working with a family year after year is that we all become very comfortable with one another. I’ve photographed these sisters for many years. Miss Ana is such fun. She loves to perform for my camera and I literally could just play with her all day long. She is the kind of child that a photographer loves to shoot as she is constantly coming up with something fun to capture. And little Mia just melts my heart. I first shot her as a newborn and she was not too happy that day. We did a couple of sessions last fall and she also was a bit “temperamental”. This past time, she started out all smiles…until I asked Anna to hug her…note to self, not a good idea! 🙂 So, finally, because her momma and daddy trust me, Mia and I just walked away for a bit and worked together on our own with no one else around and it worked like a charm! I love you both, girls! Thanks for making my job such a joy!

This past Saturday was a very busy day. I had three sessions at the Botanic Gardens. One in the morning, two in the evening and all very different. My first session of the day was for a family with four children ages 9 months to 8 years! I’ll be honest, it is a little nerve-wracking heading into a photo session with four children as you never really know what you are going to get. I shouldn’t have worried though…this family was so adorable and well-behaved. And, believe it or not, they drove all the way from Oxford, MS to work with me. I am very humbled and really loved working with this precious crew! I just know you all will have such fun growing up together and making memories. Here’s just a few from our time together, enjoy!
