Sisters in blue…

October 14, 2010

Such stunning blue! I am loving these dresses! What I love even more is that these girls’ very smart momma thought to buy these in January on clearance in thinking about her pictures with me this Fall! How can you not love thinking that far ahead? My kind of lady there! Mary Caryl and her little sister, Jax and I are old friends by now. We have worked together for years and always photograph at the girls’ grandmother’s amazing home. The little girls are comfortable and happy there; and, we ended up with some precious pictures this time, too! I love the look that these dresses added to the session. See for yourself…

And, finally, a quick outfit change and a fabulous idea! Carolyn brought out new colors for the girls to use in the pictures! Love it! However, in this case, I think it worked against us. The girls just loved the colors a bit too much and no matter what we tried, we could NOT get them to look our way. I don’t really mind, though. I adore these shots of them coloring together. So sweet and innocent and simple. Ahh! 🙂

Welcome, Savannah!

October 13, 2010

Allow me to introduce two new friends of mine: Little Savannah, just 12 days old at her session this past Monday and her big sister, 3-year-old Avery. We had a gorgeous day to work with, a pleasant surprise in mid-October. So, we decided to take the girls outside and take advantage of it! Savannah was so sweet and had so much hair! She was very aware of what was going on around her and was determined not to miss out on anything! 🙂 And, sweet Avery, is already such a wonderful big sister! She was so patient with Savannah as we worked to try to get “that shot”! Girls, loved working with you. And , Julie, your daughters are so beautiful and well-behaved! Good job, momma! 🙂

While Miss Savannah was being cuddled and fed, I did a few shots with her big sister!

Then, we tried for one with the girls together…

And, finally, Savannah slept and it was her turn!

You never know…

October 13, 2010

I never know what surprises might be in store for me at my photo sessions! This past week, as I rounded the corner to look for the family I was to photograph, there stood an old friend and classmate of mine from high school! I was so surprised! Usually, we deal with the moms in scheduling the sessions, so it never even occurred to me that the last name of this family came from my former classmate and he was the Daddy of this gorgeous bunch! It was really fun to catch up with you, Chris! All of your girls are simply beautiful both inside and out! I so enjoyed getting to know Keegan and Theran and your beautiful wife! Ashley, you’ve got such style! I loved the feel of the clothes of this session and the vintage look it inspired. I hope you all enjoy your little sneak peek. There are so many more to come and I can’t wait to share them with you! 🙂

A few of Miss Keegan…

And, Miss Theran!

A few family favorites…

And, finally, sweet sisters!

It’s good to be McKenna!

October 13, 2010

Oh,to be McKenna! This little girl is SO loved! Plus, she is just stinkin’ adorable to top it off! I met up with McKenna and her parents on Saturday morning for a session at Arlington Town Square. We started out the day with of few of this beautiful little girl by herself, and then a few with mom and dad.

See why she is so gorgeous? 🙂

Soon, McKenna’s big sister joined us for some family pictures! They were having such a good time together and it was such a pleasure to be included in the fun!

Luke!

October 13, 2010

I love me some Luke! He is another one of my little newborn club members from a few years ago and is growing up so fast. I have photographed this gorgeous family since before Luke was even born. I am always so honored to have return clients. Luke is just a sweet thing. He was so easy this time. His mom promised him a sucker if he behaved for his session. All we had to say was “sucker” and this huge grin would light up his entire face! It was too cute and so funny! Luke couldn’t make it to the original Mini Session Day he was scheduled for on Oct.2nd, so we fit him in early Saturday morning and it worked out perfectly! Lukers, you are awesome! 🙂

The Cannons!

October 6, 2010

We LOVE our neighborhood and I really do think that we have the best neighbors anywhere! All of our neighbors are great and we enjoy our friendships with all of them very much! My very last session on Saturday night was for our great neighbors that live across the street! I’ve been so looking forward to photographing them. They are such a fun and loving family;and, the session was lots of fun! Reed and Parker are two of my son’s best buddies so it was pretty easy to get some real smiles and laughs out of them! And, Joe and Lisa, they are just too cute together! Thanks, neighbors, for letting me capture a little glimpse into the fabulous family that you are! Enjoy your sneak peek! 🙂

This first one is actually my favorite from the whole session! Love those smiles!

Mini Sessions in Arlington!

October 6, 2010

Saturday was a gorgeous Fall day all day long! Just simply perfect for our last Mini Session this year. Jodie and I had a blast hanging out with all the families that came to be photographed in the town square. It was so much fun! Only small hangup we encountered was the wind! We were about 2 sessions in when the wind just starting blowing in HUGE gusts! I’ll admit it was a big challenge to work around, especially for all the pretty ladies with their long, beautiful hair! But, we made it through and managed to get some really, really gorgeous portraits for these families! I am thrilled to show you all what we ended up with and hope that you love them! Thanks for another successful Mini Session!

Cotton Field Day Two!

October 5, 2010

Love, love, love these pictures in the cotton! Just so fun and different from what I normally do! This may very well need to become a yearly tradition for 1:17 Photography. However, not really sure how to plan them as the maturing of the cotton is so weather dependent. Last year it was November-this year it was September. Hmmm. A dilemma which I have an entire year to figure out! 😉 All suggestions are welcome!

Hope you enjoy these sets of portraits as much as I do! All these sweet families below are not only my fabulous customers; however, they are also all my great friends! What a fun night! Enjoy!

Greg, Kristen and the crew!

September 29, 2010

Meet my college roommate, Kristen, and her gorgeous family! She and I have more scoop on each other than either of us probably cares to admit! We’ve been great friends for 20 years now and on Monday night, I had the opportunity to photograph her family for her. It is such a joy to see my sweet friend as a wife and mother and have the chance to capture this fleeting time in their lives with my camera. Kristen, so happy for you that these turned out so great! Your family is amazing as are you! Enjoy your sneak peek. So many more to come! 🙂

2, 3, GO!

September 29, 2010

Brothers. Age 2 and age 3. Enough to make me a bit nervous. HA! Shouldn’t have been! Love this family. These sweet boys, Carter and big brother Hudson are some precious past customers that recently moved to Nashville. Their mom and dad so honored me by choosing to make a special trip back to their previous hometown in Collierville for another session with me! Awesome! We had a fantastic Fall morning and explored the town square. We went down some alleys and found spots that were perfect. And these outfits?! Y’all, I was in love. Just perfect for a fall session. I hope you guys love your sneak peek! Loved seeing you again! Enjoy! 🙂
