Olivia and Carter…

October 14, 2011

I’ve said it before…sometimes everything just falls perfectly into place and a session is just perfection! Olivia and Carter’s mom and dad are some lucky parents because we had just such a session with these two cuties! I’ve been photographing these two for many years and we just fell into a great place. We were all comfortable, the kids were happy, the weather was gorgeous and there was no stress involved at all! YAY! It really does help a session to move along smoothly when the family is relaxed and ready to have fun with me. I had a tough time picking my favorites for this session! That’s a great problem to have. Olivia and Carter, y’all are awesome and really make me love my job! Enjoy your sneak peek! Lots more great ones to come! 🙂

Big families with lots of kids can be such fun! At times, they can be a real challenge for a photographer, but not this family! Not a bit! They arrived at the shoot dressed fabulously and ready to make things happen! I loved it! This sweet family are some “old” neighbors of ours, and we miss seeing them all the time. They’ve added the two babies to their family since we’ve lived close by, so it was a joy to spend time getting to know them as well as catching up with the big brother and sister I lived down the street from for years! All four are just GORGEOUS children, with great personalities and smiles to match. It was just a wonderful evening together. Thanks for sharing your family with me again, Brooke and Gary. Loved seeing all of them! And, if my vote counts, I think you need at least one more! You two make beautiful children! 😉 Enjoy your sneak peek!

Baby Griffin at almost six months:

Joyous 4-year-old Emily:

Quiet and thoughtful, 11-yr-old, Noah along with beautiful 15-year-old Katie:

A couple of sibling shots, too. So many more great ones to come! 🙂

Brothers…

October 11, 2011

Boys, boys, boys! These two sweet boys are the true definition of a little rough and tumble little boy! 2-year-old Brennan and 4-yr-old Brandt are the sons of a friend of mine from college, and I had such a great time playing with them last week. They just made me smile and laugh the entire time. I love their adorable little expressions and their interactions together. This first one is my favorite from the day. The little one has pretzels in his mouth, but they are just having a moment here of pure joy from wrestling with their dad. LOVE!! Heather and Jason, your boys are so great. Thanks for sharing them with me! 🙂

Nicholas and Megan…

October 11, 2011

There’s something pretty special with siblings that are many years apart! These two are no exception. Nicholas is 9-years-old and all boy! He was a little shy but, oh so charming! He loves baseball and loves his baby sister, too! He had such patience with her. I always wanted a big brother like that! And, sweet little Megan, is all girl! She loved her hair-bow and her pearls. Megan’s curls and her smile can easily melt you heart. I really enjoyed meeting your family. Thank you for sharing your sweet children with me! I hope you love your little sneak peek! 🙂

Mary Caroline and Mac!

October 4, 2011

This little brother and sister are so ridiculously cute! You just cannot help but to smile when you see them together. Mary Caroline is the big sister and full of laughter and smiles..she just made me laugh out loud all morning long. Mac is just a charming little fella who steals your heart pretty quickly. I so enjoy working with these two year after year and love watching them grow. Hope you all enjoy your sneak peak! 🙂

More minis!! That’s right, more! Between several reschedules for sick children as well as for schedule conflicts, I’ve had the opportunity to do 4 additional Mini Sessions at some different locations over the last week. They are all fun and full of gorgeous families! I always enjoy the quick moving pace of these sessions and am constantly amazed at how much fun it can be! Hope you all enjoy your little sneak peek! 🙂

First up, I met up with little Brecon and his beautiful mom at Davies Manor. So stinkin’ cute…

These last three minis all took place in Arlington Town Square over a period of days. Such sweet families and I love that they are familiy shots as well as children, too. First up, Kendall and Hunter, a part of a beautiful Navy family that moved here from California almost a year ago. So glad to have this new family to photograph. So cute!

Next, my little buddy who I’ve been photographing since he was just days old…Jackson! He even brought along his cute parents this time! Love this kid!

Finally, a family that I haven’t seen in several years. They’ve even added a little girl with precious curls to their group! Loved seeing George, Ryan and meeting Cecile. Precious, precious family!

One AMAZING photo session! Yep, I counted! It was a total of 4 hours of craziness including sixteen precious and gorgeous children in over 65 changes of clothing! You haven’t lived until you’ve lived through one of these photo shoots! But, y’all, I have to admit, I had such a wonderful time. I was utterly exhausted that night, that’s true! But, I’d do it all over again tomorrow if I could! This shoot is for The Happy Heart, a speciality children’s clothing store located on the Arlington Town Square. This little place has such charm. And, the clothes…oh, those clothes! I gotta tell you that I was once again blown away at the wonderful choices these ladies have gathered for us to choose from this Fall. If you are looking for that special something for your children that is beautiful and out of the ordinary, look no further than The Happy Heart! You really need to go out and have them help you shop for your little guys and gals. They are so great in putting together groups of clothing that mesh but don’t match! There’s so many more that I can’t show here. This is just a taste. You need to go see for yourself! Now, GO!!! And tell them I sent you! 🙂

Like I said, it was awesome and I love this store! But, I think this last photo pretty much sums up all of us at the end of this shoot! hah! 🙂

I absolutely L.O.V.E. the cotton field sessions! They are just beautiful and really feel like the South! 🙂 I just think it looks so peaceful and clean! We had a beautiful night last Saturday playing in the fields with 8 different families! I must say that these Mini Sessions went as well as probably any set of Minis that I’ve done in all my years. All the children were so good, the clothing choices beautiful, and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect! Love, love, love! Warning: This is a long post, but I’m not going to say another thing! Just going to share with you just a taste of the sweet children (and their parents!) with whom I am privileged to work with. I am a blessed girl! Thanks, everyone, and enjoy your little sneak peek! 🙂

Cooper in the cotton!

September 27, 2011

I just love, love, love photographing in the cotton fields! There’s just something special about that sea of fluffy white “southern snow” that just seems so peaceful and beautiful to me! I have done Mini Sessions in the cotton fields the last couple of years, but this family wanted to have a full session, not just a few moments, devoted to capturing their sweet little family playing in the cotton. Cooper is such a sweet little boy with an adorable little smile! When he smiles really big, he almost squints he is so happy! 🙂 He had such fun just hanging out in the fields as we kept coming up with fun, new things to try to keep his interest! We ended up drawing in the dirt and laughing ALOT! Cooper and his Dad even ended the evening with a “sword” fight…see the last photo below. Whitney and Rusty, you have a wonderful family and Cooper is SO cute! He can come home with me anytime! Thanks for sharing your evening with me! 🙂

Knox and his family!

September 27, 2011

These are my precious friends, David and Suzie and their sweet little man, Knox! We have all been friends for a very long time, and my husband and I love them dearly. I can hardly believe that little Knox is about to be 4 years old in December. I promise you it was just yesterday that we got the phone call that our long-awaited prayers for his adoption had been answered and I was summoned to go and capture his little newborn photos:

And, now, Knox is just a big ol’ boy! He is just a sweetheart of a kid and so very smart! I just love being around him because when you are with him, you just cannot help but to smile. Yes, he is that cute! 🙂 Knox’s grandparents also came along for the session, and we were able to capture some sweet moments with the entire family as well as some individual ones of Knox interacting with his family. David and Suzie, I hope you know how much you are loved! And, I kinda like that little boy of yours a little, too…well, okay, I like him ALOT! Enjoy your sneak peek! 😉

I love the guys faces on this next one, too cute!

Sweet little Knox-man…

And, my favorite little family shot of the day! I was trying to get a photo of just David and Suzie when Knox ran up and “interrupted” our moment. Doesn’t get much cuter than this~
