SOO happy for this amazing family! My friends, Sarah and Craig have themselves a precious new baby boy! Little Hobbs is finally here! Sarah and I have been talking about this session for what seems like “forever”, and finally, the day arrived! He is absolutely perfect and was such a good baby for his big day. He had some pretty big shoes to fill because big brother Hutton has had some pretty awesome sessions with me throughout his little life, and his newborn session is still one of my favorites. Anyone remember “the mailbox” photo? Sarah’s generous and kind friends let us borrow their amazing home for this session and everything about it was practically perfect. I couldn’t be happier about Hobbs arrival and cannot wait to photograph him throughout his first year. Welcome, sweet boy! God has richly blessed you with an amazing family! Congratulations Sarah, Craig and Hutton! Love you guys!

Welcome, Hobbs!
October 21, 2013Sadie Ann & Family!
October 15, 2013I’ve been photographing this beautiful little family for almost as long as I’ve had my photography business. Miss Sadie Ann is absolutely stunning and gorgeous and so much FUN! She always makes me laugh, and I love how through the years we’ve become friends. Amy is the fabulous designer behind Amy Wells Designs and has such amazing creativity and talent. And, of course, Madison just keeps these ladies in order! 🙂 Thanks, Wells Family, for continuing to share your lives with me year after year! It is always such fun!
Mary Caroline, Maddie and Jane!
October 7, 2013One of my absolute favorite families came to see me on Saturday for a session! I just adore these sweet girls. My very favorite thing to capture in a family portrait session is emotion-most especially love and laughter! This session was all about that. You will see smiles, laughter, mischief, and lots of good ol’ hugs and lovin’! We had the best time and it is always a joy to see these beautiful ladies and watch them grow up. They become more and more beautiful all the time. So glad that Katie and Ward joined in on the fun this time, too. The family shots are some of the favorites I’ve had in quite some time. And there’s lots more to come! Thanks for sharing your beautiful girls with me! They just really make me smile so much!
Jackson…
October 7, 2013I have been photographing these gorgeous big brown eyes since Jackson was just a teeny-tiny little preemie baby. But look at him now!! Such a big boy and growing up so fast. I can hardly believe he’s already 5-years-old and in kindergarten! He is a talker, too! Just talked and talked to me the entire session on Saturday and had all of us just laughing the entire time. What a sweetheart! I can only imagine the joy this little boy brings to your home, Jack and Heidi! He sure is a special gift from God! I know you are so proud of him. Thanks for always sharing him with me and allowing me to capture memories for you! Now-if I could just figure out how to freeze time and keep him little forever! 🙂Â
McKinley, Addison, and Kamryn…
October 7, 2013Stunningly Beautiful! Just absolutely gorgeous-both inside and out-that is the best description I can think of for these precious girls. I have photographed these sweethearts several times before, and every time my camera gets the pleasure of photographing their pretty smiles, blue eyes, and big personalities I am blown away by how absolutely stunning they really are! It was a joy to get to photograph them on their home turf this time and utilize their beautiful neighborhood “out in the country”. I just love the simplicity of the gravel road and the tall wild grass. One of my favorite sessions I’ve done this fall so far. Thanks, Jennifer and Michael for sharing your babies with me! I know you are so very proud of them! 🙂Â
Downtown Mini Sessions-In the RAIN!!
October 2, 2013I’ve been in this business now for about eight years-hard to believe! But, I have to say that Sunday afternoon’s Mini Sessions were among the craziest things I’ve ever done! It is really hard to tell in most of these photos; however, it was raining/misting/very wet the entire time. I had to make the tough call on if we should continue as planned or cancel and attempt to reschedule. I’m SO glad we stuck with our plans, because I just love the light in all of these photos. The families represented here were absolutely FANTASTIC to work with! Not once did anyone complain about getting wet or worried that the photos wouldn’t turn out. They simply trusted in me to get my job done and they did theirs, too. We made a great team! I cannot thank those of you who came out on Sunday enough for your sweet encouragement to me at the sessions and complete trust and flexibility in the situation. I have the BEST customers (and assistant-shout out to Jodie!!). Thanks, guys! It was worth it! 🙂 enjoy…
Kinley, Kallen & Graham!
October 2, 2013This is my sweet family!!!! Each of you that works with me at 1:17 knows this sweet Momma…it’s Jodie, my amazing assistant! She and her crew came downtown on Sunday afternoon before the Mini Sessions started for a session of their own down there. It was a crazy, rainy afternoon; but, this family smiled and laughed their way through it with me! I love them all so very, very much. And, I’m so proud of who they are. They just make me smile so much. Love you guys!!! 🙂Â
Maddie, Andrew, Megan and Nicole…
October 2, 2013This awesome family is no stranger to the 1:17 blog! Welcome back to my sweet next-door neighbors!! It is always a joy to photograph them because they are always smiling and laughing. And they laugh with me when my shoes get caught in the mud and I almost fall down a waterfall! 🙂 HA! Only me! As always, thank you for allowing me to capture your world right now and document your family’s love. Love ya’ll! 🙂
Patrick and Louis…
October 2, 2013Sweet baby boys!! I always enjoy being able to photograph families in their own homes. It just is such a relaxed and special place for the children and family to be. These sweet boys were absolutely no different. They just made me smile the entire session with their big, expressive blue eyes. Their interactions together were just adorable. Thank you, “S” family for inviting me into your world for a little while…it’s a pretty wonderful place to be! 🙂Â
Welcome, Cohen!
September 26, 2013Absolute perfection, that’s how this session has to be defined! A precious family with the miracle of their new addition, Mr.Cohen! There’s not a whole lot of “firsts” that happen for me anymore in my sessions after doing this for so many years; however, yesterday’s newborn session was a “first” in that the entire session was shot outdoors in my backyard! Loved that Cohen’s Mom and Dad were open to doing shots outdoors. I think it makes this session so beautiful and very unique. I tell parents all the time that the happiest my newborns usually are is if we can get them outdoors. For obvious weather reasons, this cannot happen at every session; but, I’d encourage those of you that have babies during the nice weather to consider do many shots outdoors. The babies truly  love it! Cohen was so happy the entire afternoon and barely made a sound-quite impressive since he is already 2 weeks old and getting past the “sleepy” stage a bit. I am sooo thrilled for this beautiful family. What a beautiful gift God has given you in Cohen. Thank you for sharing these special moments with me and allowing me to capture your joy! 🙂 Can I just say how much I love these brother shots? Big brother Cole was amazing with all of his shots-so many precious ones and too many to showcase here. He is just darling and I could eat him up! I know he is thrilled to have a little brother…esp when the ultrasound said he was getting a baby sister!! Whoops! HA. Love it! 🙂Â
