Welcome, Jeremiah!

October 26, 2010

I am IN LOVE with little newborns! Jeremiah’s session was no exception. Jeremiah Daniel is so adorable and his was just angelic throughout his entire session. He is the first grand-baby on both sides and I had a gallery of sweet family members watching the session. This is one LOVED little guy! This was a special session for me to photograph for so many reasons. First, for those of you who don’t know I used to be a 5th grade teacher and years ago I had Jeremiah’s Daddy, Jon, in my class. Now, if that doesn’t make me feel old! Wow. It is such a joy to see him and his sweet wife, Miranda, so happy and complete with their special gift from God. Additionally, Jeremiah is the grandson of my beloved Pastor and his sweet wife. Not everyone has the opportunity to know their Pastor and family on such an intimate level and having known this family for many, many years I can truly say that this little boy, adorable Jeremiah, will just add to the joy and love that this family shares. I am so happy for all of you. Now, for those pictures. Beyond adorable! Congratulations, Sinquefield family! 🙂

This was a neat part of the session. The blanket that Jeremiah is laying on belonged to his gorgeous mother when she was a baby! So special!

Don’t you love how they look in this photo? As if they are holding the most precious gift ever? Well, they pretty much are! 🙂

Finally, since Jeremiah was born in the fall, we decided to make use of the beautiful fall decor. Love these!

Jackson is a big boy now!

October 26, 2010

Yesterday was a big day. I met up with sweet Jackson to complete his First Year Baby Plan. Jackson did his session a little differently than most of my baby planners and had sessions at 4 months and 8 months. Yesterday’s session was his last one and he is now a precious 16 month old little boy full of charm and smiles. He is so adorable with some really cute faces. I loved photographing him and playing around with him. Just enjoy his cuteness and tell me I’m not right! 🙂

Sisters in blue…

October 14, 2010

Such stunning blue! I am loving these dresses! What I love even more is that these girls’ very smart momma thought to buy these in January on clearance in thinking about her pictures with me this Fall! How can you not love thinking that far ahead? My kind of lady there! Mary Caryl and her little sister, Jax and I are old friends by now. We have worked together for years and always photograph at the girls’ grandmother’s amazing home. The little girls are comfortable and happy there; and, we ended up with some precious pictures this time, too! I love the look that these dresses added to the session. See for yourself…

And, finally, a quick outfit change and a fabulous idea! Carolyn brought out new colors for the girls to use in the pictures! Love it! However, in this case, I think it worked against us. The girls just loved the colors a bit too much and no matter what we tried, we could NOT get them to look our way. I don’t really mind, though. I adore these shots of them coloring together. So sweet and innocent and simple. Ahh! 🙂

Welcome, Savannah!

October 13, 2010

Allow me to introduce two new friends of mine: Little Savannah, just 12 days old at her session this past Monday and her big sister, 3-year-old Avery. We had a gorgeous day to work with, a pleasant surprise in mid-October. So, we decided to take the girls outside and take advantage of it! Savannah was so sweet and had so much hair! She was very aware of what was going on around her and was determined not to miss out on anything! 🙂 And, sweet Avery, is already such a wonderful big sister! She was so patient with Savannah as we worked to try to get “that shot”! Girls, loved working with you. And , Julie, your daughters are so beautiful and well-behaved! Good job, momma! 🙂

While Miss Savannah was being cuddled and fed, I did a few shots with her big sister!

Then, we tried for one with the girls together…

And, finally, Savannah slept and it was her turn!

You never know…

October 13, 2010

I never know what surprises might be in store for me at my photo sessions! This past week, as I rounded the corner to look for the family I was to photograph, there stood an old friend and classmate of mine from high school! I was so surprised! Usually, we deal with the moms in scheduling the sessions, so it never even occurred to me that the last name of this family came from my former classmate and he was the Daddy of this gorgeous bunch! It was really fun to catch up with you, Chris! All of your girls are simply beautiful both inside and out! I so enjoyed getting to know Keegan and Theran and your beautiful wife! Ashley, you’ve got such style! I loved the feel of the clothes of this session and the vintage look it inspired. I hope you all enjoy your little sneak peek. There are so many more to come and I can’t wait to share them with you! 🙂

A few of Miss Keegan…

And, Miss Theran!

A few family favorites…

And, finally, sweet sisters!

It’s good to be McKenna!

October 13, 2010

Oh,to be McKenna! This little girl is SO loved! Plus, she is just stinkin’ adorable to top it off! I met up with McKenna and her parents on Saturday morning for a session at Arlington Town Square. We started out the day with of few of this beautiful little girl by herself, and then a few with mom and dad.

See why she is so gorgeous? 🙂

Soon, McKenna’s big sister joined us for some family pictures! They were having such a good time together and it was such a pleasure to be included in the fun!

Luke!

October 13, 2010

I love me some Luke! He is another one of my little newborn club members from a few years ago and is growing up so fast. I have photographed this gorgeous family since before Luke was even born. I am always so honored to have return clients. Luke is just a sweet thing. He was so easy this time. His mom promised him a sucker if he behaved for his session. All we had to say was “sucker” and this huge grin would light up his entire face! It was too cute and so funny! Luke couldn’t make it to the original Mini Session Day he was scheduled for on Oct.2nd, so we fit him in early Saturday morning and it worked out perfectly! Lukers, you are awesome! 🙂

Sadie Ann and family!

October 12, 2010

Meet the gorgeous Sadie Ann! Her mom just so happens to be the fabulous lady behind our photo jewlery line that we offer here at 1:17 Photography. Amy designs not only our photo jewelry but has so many amazing pieces. You’ve got to check them out on her website, http://www.amywellsdesigns.com/ Last Friday, however, the focus was not on jewelry! I did my yearly photo session with Amy and her family. Each year I photograph her absolutely stunning daughter, Sadie Ann. I love working with Sadie Ann. Not only is she beautiful, but she has such a fun time with me during the session and I really think that she enjoys herself! I love working with this family and know you are going to love this year’s images. Here’s just a few of my favorites! Enjoy!! 🙂

Mac and Mary Caroline…

October 12, 2010

We all have them. Those days where you just are not yourself and  you really don’t know why. Poor little Mac was having “one of those days” last week. His mom and I couldn’t quite figure out what was going on. She was saying over and over, “This is just not his normal self”. However, it didn’t stop us! 🙂 The main purpose of this session was to capture Mac at around the same age as I photographed his big sister, Mary Caroline, in my little orange chair. Mac was a champ and pulled through great for those photographs, as you will see below. Oh, and that tough day? Think it was explained by the text I got from his mom about 5 minutes into my drive home after the session. “Mac is fast asleep!” Sweet boy! These children are so beautiful and sweet and I loved working with them, despite having “one of those days”! 🙂 Enjoy their cuteness! Aww, could just eat them up!

Don’t know why, but I love this shot below. Reminds me of a real “old time” photo. Plus their big eyes just melt me!

My buddy, Jackson!

October 12, 2010

I’ve been photographing this darling little dude since he was just days old. I’ve known his Daddy almost my entire life and his sweet and gorgeous Mom has become a great friend! Jackson is ALL boy! Busy, curious, and fun! His Mom told me in my questionnaire, “Jackson has two modes, sleep and run!” I love it! Jackson is a tough kid and a fighter who since his first days as a little preemie newborn he has been endeared to my heart. Jackson, you are getting to be such a big boy. I loved hearing you sing and count in Spanish and talk about the moon! Hope you love your sneak peek! 🙂
