I love Mini Sessions!! They go by so very quickly and I get the opportunity to interact with so many different families. It is such a joy. Some “old” faces and some “new” faces…but all beautiful faces! 🙂 God provided us a lovely spring evening to enjoy and photograph. Thanks to everyone who participated. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

First up was Miss Abigail. A quick shoot just for her since she ended up being sick the day of her session a couple of weeks ago. These smiles made it worth trying a 2nd time around!

Next was a new 1:17 family, and I so loved these two cuties. I ended up with soo many cute photos of these two. Meet Reese and Ryan!

Anna Grace and her brother, Peyton were up next. I hadn’t seen Anna Grace since I had shot her newborn session and couldn’t believe how big she was. 18 months and 7 months can definitely be a challenge to photograph together, but I am pleased with our results and love these two little smiles! 🙂

I usually photograph these next two, Addie and Trent, at my Mini Sessions in the fall. We switched it all up this time and did their session in the spring. To add to the fun, we added in their Mom and Dad for this set. I adore the love and joy this family shares. The snuggles are the best! 🙂

Jackson was next, and he’s getting SO big I can hardly stand it! I have photographed him since he was around 4 months old, and he is about to be 2 years already. His brown eyes are so soulful…they just melt me! Love him!

I photographed Miss Molly, her sister, Adalynn, as well as her mom at her newborn session in January. This spring it was time for all the family, including Dad, to get a portrait together. Again, photographing a 21 month old and a 3.5 month old can be very challenging; however, this family just smiled and looked beautfiul through the entire thing. Arent’ they all just gorgeous? 🙂

I haven’t seen this family in about 3 years and it was so good to reconnect! These sweet sisters have added a brother into the mix and this session was mostly about capturing him at this age. He has these a-maz-ing blue eyes…swoon! 🙂 However, we had to do a quick one with all three of them! Love it!

Last up for the night was one of my favortie sets of twins…Katie and Erika! These precious sisters have become somewhat of my Mini Session “regulars” and they did such a good job Saturday night. Like many others, this was their first session with me in the Spring instead of Fall. I so enjoyed seeing them in their sweet white dresses and sharing love with each other. It was the perfect ending to a fabulous night! 🙂

Norah Grace is Three!

April 20, 2011

It is always a privilege and so much fun to see a family year after year and watch their child grow. I first photographed Miss Norah when she was a newborn and I can hardly believe how grown up she has become. I think I have hair envy over those gorgeous blond locks…oh my word! And, the little pink glasses?? Don’t get me started. As the momma of a little boy who wore glasses since he was 3 years, I have a special spot in my heart for little cuties with their glasses…and the fact that they are pink just is perfect! We had great time playing around at My Big Backyard the other night; however, if it was up to Norah Grace, I am pretty sure the entire session would have taken place on the swings. She looooved them! Thank you, Jessica and Andrew for sharing your “baby” with me year after year! Enjoy!

A few with her Mom and Grandma…so sweet!

Welcome, Isabella!!

April 20, 2011

Oh my word, what a sweetheart! You are going to loooove this baby girl. Miss Isabella Kate is a precious little love. So very well behaved for her photo session and so very loved by her family. She is the 3rd child of our friends from church, Scott and Jennifer and the new little sister to Olivia and Jack. The whole family is smitten with her and it’s easy to see why. I just loved her nursery and the shabby-chic look. So much character! We spent almost the entire session in there due to the great light and the perfect surroundings. I am so very happy for your family! Isabella, you are a blessed little girl and so very loved. Welcome, sweet baby! 🙂

Newborn grin! 🙂

Soo lovin’ the tutu!

A few with big brother and sister!!

Bryant is One!

Another sweet boy has gone from this…

To this!! Wow! What a cutie-patootie! Love him and his cuteness! Happy First Birthday, sweet boy! 🙂

Thank you for sharing this precious little boy with me! You’ve got a sweetheart with him! 🙂

Hart, Annie, & Wilkes…

April 20, 2011

I just loved this family! As we were finishing up their session, I told them that I think they are the kind of family that my family would enjoy hanging out with on a Friday night. 🙂 Just a family full of love, fun and laughter. Three children can sometimes be a challenge to capture, but not with these cuties. They seemed to have a great time at the Gardens exploring the beautiful, spring evening and just goofed-off with one another and laughed. Love it! Enjoy this sneak peek and thank you to the “G” family for a great evening! Y’all are just great! 🙂

Love, love, love this set of ones of the kids. 🙂

Lexi & Reese…

April 20, 2011

Remember this precious baby girl?

Miss Reese is such a big girl now! She’s sitting up and smiling and joining in with her big sister, Lexi, this time around! We met up last week during a very windy afternoon at the Botanic Gardens for their photo shoot. I’ve been photographing Lexi for several years and still cannot quite believe what a little lady she is now turning into. So beautiful and such a great big sister to Reese. I loved watching her patience and smiles for her. Reese wasn’t entirely in the best mood for photos that night for some reason, but we still managed to get some precious photos to mark this milestone time in her life. 🙂

Love, love, love her big blue eyes!

Carter is One!

April 15, 2011

Oh, little man, Carter! You and those killer blue eyes! And, that precious little smile. Don’t even get me started on those little feet that you kept crossing. Happy #1 little guy! I so enjoyed spending time with you this week. I’ll just get straight to what you came here to see. Carter’s photos are just adorable! Love! 🙂

Told you the feet were too cute! 🙂

Peek-a-boo! I see you!

Emily, Abigail & Julia…

April 15, 2011

Oh, I just love sisters!! So sweet and tender with each other. Meet Emily, Abigail and Julia. Emily is the sweet big sister and has the most precious calm personality. Abigail and Julia are her twin sisters. They are so cute with their curls! Although the little ones weren’t 100% sure that they wanted to participate in our session, we still managed to capture them at their cute age. The girls are about to move to Florida next month…I am so jealous but know they will love their new life! Thank you for allowing me to share a moment in your life, little ones! 🙂

This was my favorite one of the girls together. Forgive me for showing it twice, but I absolutely couldn’t decide if I liked the b/w or vintage coloring best! Sharing both!

And now, individuals for all of the girls. Each one has beautiful eyes! 🙂

Remember this hilarious blog done by my friend, Ashleigh, detailing the perils and distresses that accompany finding clothing for her upcoming photo shoot? If you haven’t read it, please take a moment to read it now before viewing the photos. I promise it’ll make you smile and make this sneak peek all the more exciting! Well, she didn’t need to worry one bit! Ashleigh and family showed up Tuesday night for their session looking glamorous and we had a wonderful time together! I loved this session because it was so real…everything about it! From the genuine love that you see between Ashleigh and Patrick as well as the love between them and their children. I love that Shelby’s hair isn’t “perfect” but there are a few little wisps here and there that match perfectly against her bruises on her legs and blue band-aid! 🙂 I love little Patrick’s missing front teeth and his Spider-man house-shoes that show up in some shots because somehow we all kept forgetting to take off as we walked from spot to spot! 🙂 I love that little Gibson was more interested in the birds and my camera than he was about smiling for it! 🙂 But see, all these things are what make this family who they are right now! Love!! Ashleigh and Patrick, you already know this but, you have a great family! I hope these photos are a treasure to you in years to come. Enjoy!

I had the absolute BEST time at this session! One of my favorite things to do is to go to some one’s home and capture them on their “home turf”. Miss Sandy, a.k.a. “Sassy” :), is one blessed little girl to grow up in this fabulous little piece of country. Sandy’s mom called me and wanted to just capture her being herself…still being a little girl. She just turned 6 years old last week and we wanted to capture her before the teeth fell out and playing with dolls, swings, and chasing around baby chickens were a thing of the past. I just LOVED everything about this family and this session. Their love for each other and the fabulous setting just made for an awesome night. There’s lots more here than I normally show, but I just can’t help it. So.much.fun! Miss Sassy…you are a beautiful young lady and so very loved! 🙂

You know it’s going to be a fun session when the first 2 minutes produce images like these:

Then we added Mom and Dad in,and the fun and laughter continued!

I love everything about this next one…

Sandy has this amazing play-house and we wanted to capture a few of her in her own little spot in the world. Love it!

And, finally, it is spring-time and there are babies everywhere! Miss “Sassy” has her own little ducks and chickens that will soon grow up to produce fresh eggs every morning for her family. Love that! But, first, one with her pet rabbit, Thumper! How cute are these?

Thank you for sharing your sweet girl with me. 🙂
