Emma, Class of 2014

April 22, 2014

This is beautiful Emma! Isn’t she just absolutely gorgeous with those big brown sparkling eyes? Our family become friends with their family through our boys who are friends. Sadly, this amazing family is military and they will be leaving Tennessee soon to move “back home” to Missouri. I am so happy for them; but, we will miss them so much. Emma is graduating from Arlington High in just a few short weeks and will be starting her new life in college at Mizzou in the fall. It has been a joy to get to know these wonderful people. Emma, I wish you all the best in college. The best is yet to come! Enjoy every moment. I hope you love your little sneak peek. So. Many. More to come! πŸ™‚ Congratulations!Β

Molly Kate is ONE!

November 6, 2013

Another sweet baby girl is one! Look at this week baby girl one year ago, and now! She knew then and now how to make some pink frills look good! πŸ™‚ Molly Kate was such a trooper yesterday. We know that she wasn’t feeling 100% with the double ear infections she was fighting off, but she was such a good girl! I love all the outfit choices and her sweet smiles. Erika, what Β a joy it has been to photograph all three of your babies throughout their first years. Happy Birthday to you, Molly Kate! You are beautiful! πŸ™‚Β  Baby legs…looove!Β

Andrew is ONE!

November 6, 2013

Amazing the change a year can make! Look at this sweet boy last year and now! He definitely has always had his own signature look=cuteness! πŸ™‚ Andrew’s one year session was such fun. He just made me smile with his awesome crawl/walk on his knees he has going on. It was the best!! And, he brought along big sister, Emily and both Mom and Dad, too, for some family photos. It was a fun morning with this family. I’ve so enjoyed this last year with them and sad to know it’s over. Happy first birthday, sweet Andrew!! πŸ™‚Β

I just love the complete JOY on his little face on this next one!

Emily’s face on this one….LOVE!! hehe.Β  Love Andrew’s smile here! Baby High Five! Untitled-1

Beautiful Taylor!

October 24, 2013

Oh, how the times have changed! This sweet angel face-LOVE her!! So fun to see her smiling face this morning. Her parents and I were laughing this morning about how when I first started to photograph Taylor several years ago-it was a tough job! She didn’t want to have much to do with the process to be honest. πŸ™‚ However, year-after-year we’ve developed a relationship that is full of laughter and we make it fun. She so enjoyed herself today and although I think I say this every year, this really might be the best year yet. I just LOVE these photos of her! Thanks Meg and Brian for sharing your girl with me and for always having such great spirits. You guys are all a joy to work with! Enjoy your little sneak peek!

One of my absolute favorite families came to see me on Saturday for a session! I just adore these sweet girls. My very favorite thing to capture in a family portrait session is emotion-most especially love and laughter! This session was all about that. You will see smiles, laughter, mischief, and lots of good ol’ hugs and lovin’! We had the best time and it is always a joy to see these beautiful ladies and watch them grow up. They become more and more beautiful all the time. So glad that Katie and Ward joined in on the fun this time, too. The family shots are some of the favorites I’ve had in quite some time. And there’s lots more to come! Thanks for sharing your beautiful girls with me! They just really make me smile so much!

Jackson…

October 7, 2013

I have been photographing these gorgeous big brown eyes since Jackson was just a teeny-tiny little preemie baby. But look at him now!! Such a big boy and growing up so fast. I can hardly believe he’s already 5-years-old and in kindergarten! He is a talker, too! Just talked and talked to me the entire session on Saturday and had all of us just laughing the entire time. What a sweetheart! I can only imagine the joy this little boy brings to your home, Jack and Heidi! He sure is a special gift from God! I know you are so proud of him. Thanks for always sharing him with me and allowing me to capture memories for you! Now-if I could just figure out how to freeze time and keep him little forever! πŸ™‚Β

This is just about as perfect as it could get for a little boy who just turned four and loves trains! I’ve been photographing Jackson since he was just a newborn, and he is just as cute now as he was then…perhaps even more so! He is now turning into such a little man and sooo very talkative. Before, he would be so shy with me, and this week we had the best conversations. He just talked and talked and I absolutely loved it. Could’ve brought him home with me in an instant! πŸ™‚ He loves trains right now, so his very smart Momma decided to do this 4th birthday session at the trains and they all turned out just adorable. He was having the best time. Be sure you scroll all the way down to the end and see the surprise that he got at the very end of our session. A real train came by only feet away from us and he was able to stand and watch them go by. I just ADORE the look of awe on his face. So precious and fleeting and such a smart Mom to capture these moments while she can. Happy birthday to you, Jackson!!Β  Untitled-2 Untitled-1

I am such a lucky lady!! Just look at what I got to play with on Monday night…this precious girl and her sweet family!

Miller Kate is just gorgeous and what a fun night we had playing dress-up with her! πŸ™‚ Sweet girl didn’t care so very much for being hot and snuggled by the family, but she rallied like all beautiful ladies do and pulled it out for some amazing photos despite the heat! Such a joy to watch these little ones grow up, and I’ve been “watching” her grow since she was in mommy’s tummy! Every session just gets more fun than the last. Can’t wait to see what her mom comes up with for her one year session!! πŸ™‚ Thanks, as always, for sharing your family with me! Enjoy your sneak peek!

Allie and Nora…

May 21, 2013

WOW! This session was so much fun! I’ve been working with these two little loves since they were both little bitty babies. Can hardly believe that Nora is starting Kindergarten in August, and that Allie is two. Time really does go by so very quickly. I consider this sweet family not just clients, but my friends! It’s the best to get hugs at the beginning of a session because its like meeting up with old friends, and then getting them again at the end of the session because you had so much fun together and are grateful for the smiles and laughter that just transpired. So happy to continue to document their growing up years. Love, love, love these images and this great family! πŸ™‚

Love these ones of Allie in her hat! Hat photos are so much fun!!

These girls…so pretty! I just couldn’t stop blogging them! πŸ™‚

Griffin is two!

May 17, 2013

This was what we saw for most of Griffin’s session…him walking (or running!) away from me and my camera! haha! But, you know, I still LOVE this photo soo much. The sweetness of his curls and little bare feet. Looks so sweet and innocent doesn’t it? Love! Little Griffin had one purpose for this session and it was for me to capture him at 2-years-old for his portrait to match with his 3 older siblings. He is adorable and he is busy! πŸ™‚ Love this kid. I adore his big eyes and precious smile and the way he liked for his mom and I to sing to him. Who knew our singing could make him stop in his tracks…is that a good thing? HA! Love what we ended up with, and that he made us work to get it! Even Mom and big sis Emily joined in on the fun, too! Precious family! Enjoy!

These next few are my favorites because there is an old antique fire truck behind him, and dad works for the Fire Department! Kinda cool, I think!

Aren’t they all just a beautiful family!
